I doubt a 3rd party receiver work on the same frequency, and buying another wavebird would mean a missing receiver for that controller.
You might be able to get a replacement from Nintendo. _________________

I'd say that it would probably be cheaper to just buy a wavebird with receiver as not many people/places would be selling them separatly.
Definatly don't quote me, but I would assume it would work on a 3rd party one, as long as they are both switched on at the same frequency. _________________

well its not so much getting a complete wavebird + receiver is cheaper its more that its the only way to do it, but if i can get a cheap 3rd party controller just for its reviever i still have the actual wavebird controller which feels alot better, i guess ill give nintendo a call, according to the aus website i can still order a new one from them for $70 but since i already have wired controllers im not too keen to fork over $70 when thats practically a new game _________________

You can find some on ebay, but they're kinda expensive.

well from nintendo themselves they can send me a replacement wavebird reciever for $20 plus $10 shipping. Kinda expansive, more then i would be paying for the controller itself but its the only way
i looked at ebay too, but a wavebird ends up at almost full price when you factor in shipping, still expensive on ebay
maybe i should buy some of those controller extension cables, that would solve my problem... _________________

I'd also like a pair of Wavebirds, but they're way too expensive.
I do hope that the demand will die out in a while, as it may reduce the prices. _________________ Need a Play-Asia $10 off $50 coupon?
