Welcome fellow Brawl enthusiasts. I've been thinking about starting this thread for about a week, and after counting up how many people on the forums are importing/have imported Brawl (11, including me), I decided it was worth it.
This thread can be used for discussion about anything and everything in Brawl, including how to unlock characters and the SSE. It can also be used to share friend codes, and to set up matches between forumers.
On that note, I'm always up for a fight, and so I've put my Brawl friend code in my sig for convenience. If anyone is interested in a match, let me know, either in this thread, or via PM.
Brawl rocks!
Complete friend code list (up to 5/05/08):

I have the game, its got a very shiny box, with words and screenshots all over the back, and the manual is thick and lovely.
I found that after a few hours it gets a bit boring, but I'm hoping once I get my freeloader it will be more enjoyable, as I'll be able to have a look at what's on the disc it came with.
My freeloader was sent via registered post today, so I'm going to be a pessimist and assume it won't reach here till after the easter holidays, once it does though, I'll be up for a brawl or several, so we should organise some matches. _________________

Ditto, A13x - although I am optimistic that mine will be waiting for me in the mailbox when I get home from work. If not, and I don't get one by Thursday, then it will be a violent and vengeance filled Easter long weekend... _________________

I've played people in Perth, Sydney and who a guy who lives less than 20km's from me and there was still about 1/4 second input lag.

Does Brawl pull in friend codes from your Wii or is it all fresh? _________________ Shin J Leon.

*sigh*
I understand the logic behind the friends code for 'internet' safey and all, but why have a separate list from the Wii address book? Metriod proved this was possible.

I know that the US servers are busy, with many players not being able to connect. I'm unsure if this effects Aussies who imported, but Nintendo have ssid things will improve once hype dies down and people move on to other games etc. Considering Brawl has sold over 2 million (taking into account Japanese sales) units already, I think they should consider a dedicated server/more bandwidth. _________________

What a pathetic excuse, seriously, the reason why it doesn't work is because too many people are using it? Brawl is supposed to be all about its multiplayer, they're advertising online.
Should definitely have a dedicated server for this and kart.

Yeah, it's a widespread problem, and it's affecting me too (and will affect everyone else who imports a copy). It sucks, but there's not much we can do. At least the friend code battles work well. I had very little lag in my last battles again a guy in the U.S (via friend code). Friend Code battles are the way to go btw, when you play against random people you can only choose 2 minute brawl. _________________

Out of interest, has anyone with a US copy been able to add someone with a Japanese copy or Jap-US? I'm looking at you Darkwing Sykeduk. _________________

Decided to take a bit of a break after playing for pretty much six hours straight .
My FC is: 3780-8841-5001 and yeah, I was trying to get into a random match for ages but just wouldn't connect, or it would end up disconnecting altogether.
So who's everyone finding they use the most? So far I'm using my good old Samus and a bit of Pit and MetaKnight on the side. I tried out Olimar but completely failed with him, had no idea what the hell I was doing. My sister was playing with Wario and he seems pretty good so I might give him a try out later on but most of the other characters I've already had a go with. _________________

Join me in on the 'now playing Brawl' boat
Received it yesterday with Freeloader, to my surprise (only ordered it last Thursday) and played it most of last night (wasn't even paying attention to Sarah Connor Chronicles when i was recording it)
I'll add my FC asap
I'm trying out characters atm, but i still like Samus, Mario & Link; as well as MetaKnight, Pit (surprisingly), Pkmn Trainer, Diddy (had limited time with though) & Olimar _________________

I'm... NEARLY.... a Brawl owner. I bought mine only a few hours after Dare so I should hopefully get it today or tomorrow. My concern though is that I still haven't got a dispatch email, despite getting the email saying they had received my payment. I emailed the seller yesterday about it but haven't got a response.
I hate waiting.

Might be a stupid question, but does your TV actually support NTSC signals? If it doesn't then you'll be stuck with Black and White on that TV no matter how much you update the Wii _________________
