Nice preview, though I can't really imagine playing Civ on a console. Just doesn't really work for me, I'd stick with Beyond the Sword for now.
I believe the control and scheme and overall game mechanics may suffer due to the necessary mainline approach needed for a console release.

I don't get it. There were 4 of you, 2 on 2. Then you said 'we chose India'. Does this mean that you and your partner can play the same civilization?
Also, As most fans would know, the Civilization series has been turn-based. For those who have never played before, it can take some getting used to. However, Civilization: Revolution no longer requires the player to wait their turn. Each player will be making their moves when they're ready."......The term is RTS. There, was that hard??

By 'we', I meant me/PALGN. The other guy in my game was from somewhere else. _________________

I wish I worked for PALGN... *sigh*
Great preview, I hope this works out well. I enjoy PC RTS, but sometimes it's nice to play a more relaxed game on the couch in front of the TV. Looks better then Settlers of Catan anyhow, which is a really good thing because I enjoyed SoC alot.

I haven't played Civ Rev, like most of us, but I believe the game is still turn based. All players take their turn at the same time, it's an option you can have set on Civ 4 multiplayer, (not sure about 2 or 3, haven't played them).
So that after you finish your turn before anytone else, you still have to wait for everyone else to finish their turn before you continue to the next turn. And trust me, it saves a LOT of time.
BTW, I'm really looking forward to the DS version, Civ on the go is like a dream come true!
