I'm calling March 09.
Mainly because the original God of War I believe came in March 05 in the US. God of War II was released around the February/March area in 07, and Chains of Olympus is set for March 4th this year I think.
Just seems to make more sense, and it'd be well timed for Sony IMO, as they'd be able to keep gaming momentum for their console after the 08 onslaught.

Same here, anyways, it happened for the same for God of War PSP.
When God of War II came out in the US in March last year on the back of the manual it had the same picture, the omega symbol and 'PSP' and 'Coming Soon' and that was March last yr dont forget and has GoWPSP even been released yet?
Do you get what I mean?

Another year is about right. GoW II suffered from toasted sandwich syndrome, it tasted fine but just couldn't be as gooD as the first. Another year ought to get me salivating again but it's not time to heat the jaffle iron just yet.

They've been working on this for a while thought right?
Ever since GoW2?
GoW:PSP was developed by a different company so we can't really base anything on those timeframes. Assuming Sony's Santa Monica studio handed off all code to be packaged in late Feb for the March retail launch of GoW2, they'd already be 1 full year into development by now, and with 2 GoW games under their belt...
I'm going to go against the grain and say they could very well release in December for x-mas 08.
Shall we start a lottery?

Sony representatives and the musical composer on God Of War 3 have both already confirmed the game for 2009.
