Ebay is your best bet to get them the cheapest imo. Don't forget you need a step down transformer which can be found here:
eBay link
The wii uses low watts so the 250 watts one is fine. Regarding vc games you can use any credit card to purchase them you just need to put in a usa address. Doesn't matter what it is as they don't check. Yep thats about it good luck
BTW i went through what your about to go through i love my usa wii. _________________

I think you misunderstand. The power supply and a step down transformer are completely different. The U.S Wii will come with it's own power supply, which is fine. However, you won't be able to plug it into an Australian socket since they use a different plug over there. Not only that, but they also have a different voltage going through the electrical mains in the U.S, so you will need a step down converter to allow you to run the Wii here. See Mains electricity for a little more info. Basically, it limits the voltage that is being output by an Australian power point, and brings it down to the voltage that the U.S uses. Otherwise, the Wii would receive too much power and be ruined.
I also recommend Ebay as a place to buy a U.S Wii, I just bought one off there myself, and is the cheapest way to get your hands on one.
Edit: Looks like I'm only partly right (as is Itachi). If you already have a PAL Wii, you can use the power cable in a U.S Wii. If you don't have a PAL Wii, you'll need to buy a power cable from Nintendo, or use a step down converter with the U.S power cable that comes with the Wii. Looks like I learned something as well. _________________

All you have to do is plug in your Aussie plug into the US Wii, no need for step down.
Or if you dont have an AU Wii get a replacement power cord from Nintendo fro $50 the only thing you will ever need to by from them. _________________ I update this Signature once a year, I better make it a good one... no wait can't be bothered.

Just confirming what Itachi says, eBay would be your best bet _________________

As an alternative suggestion, apparently Burn (an import store) are developing a Wii mod chip that will render it region-free. Apparently it's in the final weeks of testing before they make it publicly available.
Then again, I've seen a topic on this very forum about how unreliable and dodgy Burn are so who knows how successful/reliable it will be.

A problem with using ebay is that very few will actually ship worldwide. Most poeple in the US only ship to the US.
Or am i just searching wrong? _________________ [This signature was deleted at the request of the original poster]

Make sure you search for items in the U.S that are available to Australia. The advanced search is your friend. _________________

I think you can wait more than 28 minutes for someone to respond to your necro.
Anyway, to answer your question: yes, an aussie power supply will work with an american Wii. If you don't trust this/are unsure, buy a transformer and attach it to the US Wii power supply, although it seems like a bit of a roundabout way of doing things... _________________

Ebays looking to be the best place to buy them. Any Way if youve got an Aussie Wii, why not just buy the newly released Wii freeloader? _________________

There's this thing that's called a Software Update.
It's inevitable. _________________

Apparently Datel have said that if a Wii update stops the Freeloader from working they'll send out a new updated version of the freeloader. _________________
