Great work guys, you all deserve a massive pat on the back, especially the fellers who helped evolved PALGN into what it is today. I hope one day I can write again professionally for this wonderful site or someone with the same level of caliber. 3 cheers for PALGN!!

Nice read!
I think one of the things I've always liked about PALGN is the closeness of the site itself and the community. You've had features written entirely by users, user-only competitions, and the majority of the staff are regular posters on the forums. You just don't get that on many gaming sites. It's not exclusive or elitist, either - everybody is made to feel welcome.
And I still recall registering Luke_smells_funny, just so Luke would have to write about it on the site.

Some time in 2003: PALGN was set as my primary homepage, and has stayed so ever since.

Well it's good to read more about the history of PalGN especially since I've only been here less then 2 years, especially all those milestones. Keep up the good work guys. Thanks for the mention also. _________________ RIP Buddha 19/10/1952 - 03/01/2004

Its being domain squatted, ie. A company owns a domain which'd generate a lot of traffic and won't let go of it without a 4 digital if not more sum. Not totally uncommon.
PALGN really should sue them.

Wasn't there also a quote from PALGN on a display box for Test Drive Unlimited? But, part of the quote was covered up by a 'Trade and Save' sticker. Good going EB Games. _________________

Yeah, but it was a preview box, it didn't end up on the retail box.

Wow what a big time that was. Thanks for the mention.
I never knew James and Matt were so close to leaving.
I started talking to amy again which led into a weird conversation.
| Quote: | You: sh*t
Amy: What makes you say that?
You: i hurt myself
Amy: Maybe you should see a doctor.
You: possibly thanks
Amy: What are the odds?
You: death
Amy: I like the way you talk.
You: ...thats weird
Amy: Weird Good or Weird Bad?
You: murder bad
Amy: What do you look like?
You: a monkey
Amy: What is a monkey?
You: a shoe
Amy: Are you telling the truth about a shoe?
You: damn straight
Amy: You and I are on the same wavelength, Lord Halo Nerd |
Some reason I said this and she came up with this.
| Quote: | You: Wanna have sex
Amy: I have been asked that question more than 100,000 times since 1995.
You: really?
Amy: For real
You: why?
Amy: Because James programmed me for it.
You: what to have sex?
Amy: They do their own thing.
You: who
Amy: Philip K. Dick.
You: yes thats great
|
I like saying that to Robots. I am a creepy teenager aren't I? _________________ XBOX Live Lord Halo Nerd1

This site has really been a great place to visit. This is the very first, and I might add the only video game news site I visit each day when I turn on my computer.
What also makes this place great is the community we all have here!
Long live Palgn!!!

Agreed. The members here are like the bricks in the wall that make this place such a joy to visit. Don't stop guys and girls. This site is fantastic. So many appreciate the insane amount of work and effort you've put in to make PALGN what it is today.
Thankyou.
