Got the game today! Wow!
The game is spectacular. I instantly got into it. You can see just by the first few levels the potential this game has. I've only played 3 or 4 stages so far, and I am enjoying myself. The humour, the puzzles, the visuals and the music, oh my god.
This is one of the best looking games avaliable on the system. The cel-shaded graphics are gorgeously vibrant and lush, dare I say it looks better then Wind Waker? Yes it does (well not in scope). The stage with the tribal men dancing and eating looks especially great, the bonfire look is captured perfectly.
Did I mention the music? I was greatly surprised by tthe music. I was expecting all cheerful Monkey Ball style music. But no. the music is very atmospheric, taking the essence of pirates and treasure islands. I was stunned.
Puzzles. While I still haven't passed the section of the game where you are completely on your own without any on-screen help, the puzzles have been neat. A spoon was caught in a branch, you had to lift it up before you pull. That felt simple yet great. And the flute puzzle is absolutely genious. I can't wait till it become frustratingly hard.
Those are my first impressions. This is clearly one of the best games on Wii. Import it now or mark down Feb 21 on your calender because you don't want to miss this. _________________

I beat it a little while ago (I sadly was forced to use a walkthrough at one point )
Absolutely ingenious and amazing. Kept me thinking the whole way through.
I'm not sure I like its attitude of killing you repeatedly for trying things out... I couldn't stand to waste those Platinum Tickets, and went back to the beginning almost every time I probably should have bought a whole ton of them and not worried about it. Still, it encourages you to sit and think rather than brute-forcing your way through puzzles, which is probably a good thing
I can't wait to give this to my brother and watch and cackle as he gets stumped on puzzles I now know the solutions for
Also, I think it's a shame that the development artwork scans etc. you can get by sending Maddy(?) out on treasure hunts as you go through the game can't be zoomed in upon as far as I can tell. A lot of them look really detailed and they're a little wasted being locked at the Wii's resolution. _________________

I'm going to try not to use a walkthrough when the time comes. I seriously want to finish this game based on my own skills alone. But I might fail that regard and run off to gamefags, who knows? _________________

Did anyone get the game yesterday? What do you think? Personally this is my most favourite Wii game (yep, ahead of Mario). The puzzles are great, you have to think logically not in game mentality. I don't want to spoil later levels but... great.
This game just brings a smile to my face! _________________

I picked it up yesterday! First and foremost i love the art design! My goD! this is one sexy game. You dont always see how amazing the engine is during gameplay as the camera is straight on... but when it pans in cinemas... beautiful!
Since then its been a puzzle em up at my place. I love how player 2,3,4 can draw and point too... but would have liked a mario-esque coin picking up function.
Just one more level!

It's been a very long time since I've played a point-and-click adventure game, so I might have to give this a try once I've finished Super Mario Galaxy. _________________

Okay! Yestereve I had Squid and Moogle around. It was a quiet Saturday night after Squid and I got trashed on Friday: opening night of the Adelaide Fringe (+ Clipsal 500) + a million other things. Z&W coaxed the non game inclined Moogle to clamor for the controller. We took it in turns on a levels/lives/fairgo policy. Not that there was ever a dull moment. Other controllers were used to help and hinder in equal measure by drawing on screen. We called it 'cock and balls duty', coined after the first phallus was drawn. After that conspicious drawn arrows were ignored by the lost while the clued in artisans would draw condescending rings around objectives that were known to all. We played 8 or so levels and they're lining up for more. Social gaming at a rare peak.

I finally did it, bought this over the weekend (JB $80) with my first paycheck, although i was initially contimplating it over a Wii Freeloader & Brawl, that will be the end of this week (maybe) and have been stuck to it ever since, great game that not many know about (a colossal shame really).
Got stumped on the first 2 bosses for awhile, but am powering through, has been awhile since i've played a Point & Click game (and even that was an older one...) but i hope more of its kind come to Wii.
The only gripe I have is that silly grandma lady, the rest (and thats quite a lot) is all great _________________
