OOO! YES! PICK ME! I've been watching the tennis!
Go Tsonga! Looking forwards to tonight's match and the final
And who could have asked for a better women's final. Sharapova v Ivanovich . Looking forward to that, I mean, hey, it will be very easy on the eyes
Sharapova's playing though, so not so much on the ears _________________

Yeah Tsongas been awesome this tournament. The way he beat Nadal was amazing.
I have a feeling Sharapova will win the women's finals because she has been playing so well but with the men I'm just not sure yet, its to close.

Just imag...
Tennis is one of those sports you don't need the sound on to watch it.
The three remaining singles matches all look to be 'could go either way' matches. _________________

I was in awe of Tsonga in his match against Nadal. He reminds me of Muhammed Ali. The way he argued with the umpire without going over the top, then followed up with the biggest ace I have ever seen, was truly amazing. It just felt like I was watching history in the making, this kid is going to be be dominating in years to come.

Yeah, I agree. Sharapova is in amazing form right now. Also, I heard the commentators saying that Ivanovich still hasn't reached her full potential (assuming that they're right, though, imagine how good she could be in the future!)

Absolutely. I have just loved watching Tsonga play this tournament, ever since he beat his fellow compatriot and doubles player Richard Gasquet. _________________

You could see it happening though, Federer seems to have just been going through the motions of playing instead of actually playing to win, so I for one wasn't surprised that Novak pumped him, since he at least looked to want to beat him with that racquet.

Yeah but i meant i wasnt expecting that to happen before the game. Federer made to many unforced errors. He only go better at the end but still not good enough.

Federer has looked average all tournament.
IMO he should have lost to tipsarevich (sp?) a few matches ago. He's had it reasonably easy going, and it's no big surprise to me that he's now gone.
Tsonga on the other hand has played some amazing tennis. I wasn't sure how he would cope in the semi against Nadal, but he just blew him away. It seemed poor form on Nadals part to suggest postmatch that Tsonga wouldn't be able to hold his nerve in the final.
As for females, I'd like to see Ivanovic win, but I don't think it's going to happen. Maria has been playing some amazing tennis, even dominating Justine Henin in straight sets. What I will say is, get rid of that stupid serving routine of yours. There is no hair in your eyes before every serve you make, and there is no need to bounce the ball some ridiculous amount of times. Likewise, Sharapova walks to the back of the arena after each point.
On a side note: Where the hell have all these serbians come from? Serbian tennis is very strong at the moment. _________________

Why were the spectators cheering Federer on? Novak is a much more likable character, he has personality. I thought Australians like to cheer on the underdog up until that point. I cheered on both Tsonga and Novak in their Semis and I'm so damn happy for them.
I'll be cheering on Tsonga again.

Maria Sharapova played some great tennis today but i have to agree that ruitine is getting annoying.
Cant wait for the Tsonga vs Djokavic match, it should be a very even match, both in great form.

For sure. I'd like to see Tsonga take it out in five sets. I'm hoping for a really good, close match.
Can't wait _________________

I'm getting sick of gland slam finals which are 1 sided.
It didn't really look like Ivanovic was in the game at all (even though I was supporting her).
Lets hope for something magical in the mens. I'll be cheering on Tsonga. _________________

I'm annoyed that Sharapova won the other day (all that grunting seems un-sportmanship like), but the next match i can't call
Cause Djokavic played great in the Semi, but i've yet to see Tsonga play (any of his matches unfortunately), but have been hearing nothing but great things about him
It will be a great match to watch, no matter who you're supporting though _________________

what, exactly, is the issue with the grunting?
i'm not a tennis fan at all, but it seems every game i've seen ever, the players grunt when they hit the ball, so why is it an issue for Sharapova? _________________

^ the excessive grunting, and other noises she makes, thats the issue
I have no problem with grunting if its to emphasis a shot where it is needed, but she always makes some noise, and screams at the top of her lungs, it just doesn't sit well with me thats all, and i'm sure i'm not the only one, cause in the final vs's Ivanovic (spelling?) someone was even holding up a sign 'Quiet please Maria' _________________

I'd put it down as a tactic to unnerve her opponents, although she'd deny it it's the most plausible explanation as to why.

^ yeah it does seem like a tactic, thats why i think it is un-sportmanship like and Ivanovic was more deserving of the title & trophy _________________
