I'm long since sick of the american media's obsession with blatantly lying about games content to make waves and sway the conservatives....
Is that the video with the video game dude via satellite? The problem with this video is that he himself did not help things the way he was talking about the game. He should have pointed out that the interviewer was an idiot _________________

EA have already responded to this, calling out Fox and asking for a correction to the BS they reported.
Chances of that happening? Small. Chances of it happening without a whole lot of backhanded comments and snide remarks? None whatsoever.
That report has nothing on the whole Townhall debacle, though. First three articles at the linked page, read from the bottom upwards. _________________

I thought Geoff Keighley did a fine job, considering the limited time he was being given.

Agreed. Geoff represented the video game community proudly. Those two women were certainly stying to drill the game into the ground though. That psychiatrist / psychologist was absolutely useless, misinformed and hot. _________________

lol @ the censoring of the ass. "Omg it's an ass, cover it up before a 12 year old gets a hardon!"
If kids are growing up and forming opinions about women/sex/violence etc based on these video games, it's the parent's fault for not moderating their kid's gaming time. It's going to happen with everything they're exposed to via the media and today's technology, and their sexual curiousity is going to be triggered not only by games but by other kids they interact with.

If only that were true. If it was, we wouldn't be so disgruntled by this. Sadly, people swallow this rubbish.

If they think thats degrading to women they obviously don't bloody notice American Top Model ads or anything like that. Seriously its a video game and they reckon it should be given an adults only rating for the 30 second sex scene. I am 14 and I have seen it, what she said by "forcing the woman" is not true. What about movies with small sex scenes in it, The Simpsons anything like that kids can watch it. Sexual curiosity is triggered by anything movies, kids at school, TV Shows. _________________ XBOX Live Lord Halo Nerd1

Ok, no one intelligent believes anything on Fox.
Also, just to throw my 2c in here; The game is rated for 17 year olds. How can you complain about a scene in a game that is less graphic than a scene in a movie that the same 17 year old can watch? Again, we find the bored women of America rising up to take on the newest media they can find (and know nothing about) and call it evil.
There was a fantastic quote from that letter that I though summed up the people decrying the gaming industry everywhere quite well:
"They have had zero experience with the game and are largely ignorant about videogames, the people who play them, and the ESRB system that governs their ratings and sales." _________________

I love EA response and how they point out that some TV shows Fox shows during Prime Time is FAR FAR worse than anything in Mass Effect. It's the same here too, the double standards are ridiculous. If I had kids I'd be far more concerned about my kids seeing a (n underage) "role model" on TV having sex with a bogan/teacher/random animal to get back at their parents rather than seeing sex on a video game set in the future

I was going to type a big rant about how inaccurate it was, but really i dont see how you can take that sort of journalism seriously! It almost reminded me of a parody interview you'd see on www.theonion.com .

I thought I covered that with random animal. If you mean seeing him well... That's bloody damn hard to avoid since people seem to have plastered his mug everywhere

I find it odd that these people never get stuck into the Sims. A game which alot of younger children play. One small download and they're having hardcore sex all over the house.

That dialogue was british? The author must have compiled his knowledge of the english solely from the british enemys in American action films. _________________

My brother showed me this clip this morning and it made me feel very frustrated. I feel sorry for Geoff as he was unfairly cut off but he did us proud. ^_^
In the video the female psychiatrist/psychologist mentioned her book. I find it hilarious how some gamers found her book on Amazon and swarmed it with negative reviews for revenge. The average is now about 1.2/10. _________________
