i saw it in EB today ($50 rrp, inc LCT) and actually intended going back after my errands to get it, but i forgot, so is it worth going down again to get? _________________

I recall that this was being included with Ghost squad in Japan, so I'm hoping that it'll be included with Ghost squad in Australia once released.
If not, I'm sure there will be plenty around next year. _________________ <iframe src="http://gamercard.xbox.com/Ministry%20Se7en.card" scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" height="140" width="204">Put your gamertag here too.</iframe>

I think it looks like crap. IGN loves the Perfect Shot by Nyko ALOT more. It actually looks like a real gun...
I think i'll get that.

I saw it for $44 in the recent JB catalogue. I haven't picked it up yet, probably will in the future if it works well with some games otherwise I might sell out for the pack in Zelda game. _________________

I bought it as a Christmas gift to put under the tree and I gave it a quick go before wrapping it up, it was enjoyable and fun from what I played of it, the graphics are slightly cleaner than Twilight Princess, obviously because it was developed solely for Wii and not NGC. The game plays reasonbly well, once you get a feel for the way it aims it is addictive. As for the Zapper, at first it felt uncomfortable, and to small for my hands but then I figured out a good way to hold it and all was well. I have to say that if you have Large hands, you probably wont like the zapper as it seems it is designed for a smaller Japanese hand much like the original xbox gamepad was designed for the large American hands. To conclude I can say (first impressions wise) that for $44 it really could be a worthy addition to the Wii collection, though it may be a little on the short side, for single player that is.

Played Link's Crossbow Training at eGames. Was pretty fun and the $44 price tag tempts me but I still don't really think it's worth it without another good zapper game out. You might get a few hours out of it but it'll soon get old (like Wii Play for example) unless you try some multiplayer (if that's even possible with Link's CT) or are challenging someone for some arbitrary high score.
I also tried the Resident Evil game at eGames and was sorely dissapointed. I don't know how they could even put such a boring game on the show floor (yes, I loathed it that much!). Nothing good to say about this one at all.
I'm gonna wait a while before getting the Zapper. _________________

I disagree on the large hands issue. I did the preview at eGames of Crossbow Training, and I have the largest hands of anyone I've met (Mum's a pianist...). It felt fine for me to hold. _________________

I picked up the zapper and a copy of Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles.
RE:UC is quite fun with the zapper, but you have to remember to set the controls to the zapper settings under the options. I did like the fact that it's weighted nicely and it's easy to grip.
I haven't really played Crossbow Training that much, but from first impressions it's doesn't look too bad for a game that comes with the zapper.

I really dislike the look of the zapper, cant wait for the Nyko Perfect Shot. I'll probably get it eventally for LCT though.
There is something that im curious about. With all of the virtual console games for the Wii, im surprised I havent seen any third party 64 controllers, etc.
I really want a 64 controller for when I can eventually start downloading games off the VC. _________________

ROFL! I just looked that up, and was quite surprised at the design... the very same design that you've been able to buy off ebay for at least half the year now...
Way to come up with your own designs Nyko, you hacks...
Edit: For reference, here are some pics of the Nyko shell. Looks rather similar, doesn't it? _________________

It is true that there are very similar products on eBay, but they lack the quality of the Nyko gun. Plus, there was absolutely no need to buy one before now as the only games that you would use with it are currently RE:UC and LCT. _________________

Oh sure, there is a distinct possibility that the Nyko one will feature a higher build quality - but if they're so willing to simply plagiarize a design then I have my doubts about them as a whole. _________________

Ah, I see your point, they are virtually identical. But then again, virtually every third party accessory developer have near identical products. _________________

With all these gun accessories floating around with all these different options, do they actually enhance the gaming experience?
I have read some reviews saying that links crossbow training is better without the Nintendo Zapper. Are these accessories more of a hindrance when it comes down to actually playing the game? Or do they make the overall experience better?
IMO I think they wouldn't add much at all, these accessories were not designed with the game in mind, it actually seemed to happen the other way around. The best accessories/peripherals for consoles are ones that were built specifically for the game, these are also generally the expensive ones.

2 things;
1, the nyko gun has a spring loaded slide to press the trigger, that other one doesnt, this way the pressing of the trigger doesnt feel squishy, like the zapper.
2, how exactly do you plagiarize the design of a handgun? _________________

Just a heads up.... EB appears to be selling the NYKO PERFECT SHOT for $29.95. Got myself 2. It's great. My only real gripe is that you have to pull the trigger at least halfway to shoot. Otherwise it's the best "zapper" shell in the market. _________________
