I'm sorry to bitch but was it that hard to post up a dial up warning. You've just posted up almost 2mb of screenshots and I thought this thread was just "Massive Street Fighter 4 Info".
Anyway cheers I'll have a read a bit later. By the looks of things the screenshots are only from the one level. It would have been nice to see some more. _________________

As the producer states in the article (I skimmed through - will read at home) , the game's only about 2% complete - so this one stage is probably all they have at the moment that looks anywhere near finished. _________________

Okay I read the article. The new producer seems quite spirited and passionate about this game and really wants to keep it true to Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo. The facial expressions and possible changes in body parts due to injuries sounds rather neat.
I was really shocked to hear that Capcom weren't interested in making Street Fighter 4. With the steps the producer is taking I'm really hopeful that it will turn out to be an excellent and distinct game. _________________

I think you mean the 'gameplay' is going to be 2D.The graphics in the pic are 3D obviously.
All I can say is Blanka had better make a return or I'm gonna be pissed. _________________

That pic is seriously the most unnecessary butt shot I've seen in the while. _________________ Shin J Leon.

I must say I get really annoyed when people in these articles say 'it'll be 2d gameplay' NO IT WONT, changing the fighters from sprites to polygons changes the entire feel of the game in my opinion and it won't be 2d fighter gameplay
Another problem I think with 3d graphics is that they don't really holdup well, so I worry about the longevity of this Street Fighter. The fact that I can still play MvsSF or SF Zero 3 today and the graphics are still impressive, around 10 years after its release is a tribute to the fact at how good 2d graphics can hold up, far better than 3d graphics.
I was really looking forward to see what they could do with 2d and with the power of the Xbox 360 (or PS3) with this, this is the one game that could have brought 2d gaming back to the forefront instead of on the peripheral.
As of right now I am looking forward to SSFIITHD on XBLA more than SFIV, which is sad _________________

I've read over that article a few times and I think this project will work out.
While I agree that the 3D graphics are a problem, if you look at games like Soul Calibur it still can be nice looking today.
I do like the way they are planning to take the game and I do think it will be more of a moving painting when they are all done. Remember he said it's only around 2% complete in the article. Capcom don't make ugly games so I don't think the final product visuals will be a problem. That, and I don't think this game will be released until it is 100% ready.
I love the fact the guy mentioned the SF3 characters. I agree with him on that where their somewhat alienated SF2 fans with the new list. I hope they add a bunch of new characters more in line with the SF2 universe.
Anyway, I look foward to seeing more updates as they come. _________________ Shin J Leon.

I finally got around to reading the article and I must say I was quite impressed. The producer seems to know what he's talking about and is himself a veteran of the franchise. I like that gameplay seems to be the number one priority and by the sounds of things Capcom seem to be willing to give the team a decent development time, instead of insisting that it must be out for Christmas '08 no matter what. _________________

I'm quite pumped for this. I miss the days where every kid knew who Ken and Ryu were. Hopefully this will restore some lost faith.
