I've read and watched all the reviews. Honestly I didn't think much of this the first time I played the demo, but I tried it again after watching video reviews that agreed with me: theres too much combat but everything else is fantastic. And I did better this time, so I'm planning to get it after all. _________________

I must've played through the demo about 5 times now. It's the first time I've done that to a demo on the ps3...

Awesome, looks like the game has really lived up to the hype by the looks of it, which is excellent. It's the most popular PS3 title since Ratchet, could be the most popular this year. _________________

Unfortunately I have not been able to play the demo since I'm porting from Optus back to Telstra. That means no internet for me which makes me a sad panda indeed.
Luckily I'll have the full game in my hot paws soon enough and I can't wait.

I think there is a lot riding on this game for the Ps3. There has been a string of lack-lustre/dissapointing 1st party releases and this is supposed to be the crowning jewel of the lot.
I'm just glad the reviews are positive because I really can't think of another PS3 game I want to get and I honestly haven't bought a Ps3 game since it launched which is a bit dissapointing but i'm not going to buy games just for the sake of it. I would've bought Ninja Gaiden Sigma if I hadn't finished the Xbox version and if I had a bit more time to play through it once again....other than that every other game has been a bit dissapointing for me so i'm glad Drake has lived upto the hype cuz i'm definately picking it up. _________________

Demo is brief, looks cool.
Ratchet and clank was heaven for me, this looks just great to make my PS3 useful again this year.
Looking forward, strongly. Glad. Also. _________________

Also does anyone else reckon Drake looks like Nathan Fillon? Uncanny resemblance imo and I reckon the character is actually based off him because the music is composed by Greg Edmonson who also does the music for Firefly...so I reckon the devs must be into the show.

Play-Asia have the U.S version for $76.74, including shipping or the Asian version for $71.10, when it's released of course and throw in a coupon or two and it's a pretty good deal for that game. No region protection as well so just get the Asian version, but who knows, after the demo fiasco anything could happen.

Despite my biatching about local prices, I like most people am too lazy to import on a price basis. The only reason I import things is if there is an inordinate delay on local release... i.e. Kingdom Hearts 2. So yeah, I'll just pre-order it at EB and price-match HN because I just roll that way (and I don't like HN). _________________

Hey guys, I've been playing the actual game at eGames and let me tell you, you're going to love it. One of the best game experiences this year imo, it's just been made so well. _________________

I reckon I'll have to buy it locally. By the time I get the money into my Paypal account (Damn your laziness, Paypal people, it used to be 2-3 days!) and have it delivered it'll be out here already.
I finally got around to playing the demo today, after downloading it twice. I started on Easy, was soundly murdered a couple of times, but eventually got the hang of it. My TV is far too small to see graphics on, but the water effects at least are some of the prettiest things I've ever seen. The only thing I dislike is that the running animation has remained unchanged since the first time the game was shown off, and it's awful. Nate runs like he holds his extra ammo between his cheeks. It's the only animation that seems off to me.
I almost liked the intro cutscene more than the actual game. Nate is just the kind of Mal Reynolds character that'll make this game one of my favourites.

The game is getting 80-90% average rankings, http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/932984.asp
So it looks we'll be waiting even longer for the first exclusive killer app on the PS3. _________________ Shin J Leon.

Agreed, when the worst score a game has gotten is 80%, I think that's a good sign that it's an awesome game. _________________

'Killer app' is a subjective term... different people enjoy different games.
That post reeks of the usual bulls*** found in Gamespot and GameFAQs. Leave it over there, please. _________________

Yeah but you're smarter and more sensible than them.
A game is as good as the person playing it thinks. Assassin's Creed is a recent example of how we can't invest all our trust into reviewers. (IGN AU team gave it 8.7 while IGN UK team gave it 6.5. wtf?).
Dismissing the worth of a title because its a couple percentage points below 90% on an aggregate site seems petty, and I'm not sure why someone as knowledgable about games as you would bother paying attention to it. _________________

I don’t like people judging their purchases solely on the score given to them. Especially when a game then gets a 7.5 and they flee from it. That’s a decent score. If this game was a game I was eagerly looking forward to, and can understand its flaws, then I’ll still get it.
That said, my playtime with the Uncharted demo has made me give the demo an 8 _________________
