I turned 24 years old today!
I decided to make this a thread where you can post about your birthday when it arrives. You can even talk about things related to birthdays such as what presents you've received, which are your most memorable birthdays and other things.
On Saturday I'm going to be having a BBQ. I got pancakes for breakfast this morning , and I bought myself a present, my second present to myself will be Super Mario Galaxy.

Happy Birthday Rod.
It was mine 2 weeks ago to today, and my girlfriend's 21st tomorrow, which means my bank account has taken an absolute pounding in the last week and it was already in cripple status after a 4 month stretch where I've had at least one or more 21sts to go to every weekend. I hate birthdays when they aren't mine _________________

Got my 20th on the 22nd - going to get Assassins Creed so that should make up for all the damn assignments I have due on the day. This looks like the first year I might not have a party due to time constraints - maybe just some casual drinks at the pub on the weekend or something I spose.. Anyway next year is going to be the big party _________________

Thanks for all the birthday wishes and returns to you guys who had them recently!
Does anyone remember the cakes they had for their birthdays when they were younger? I had a big cake that was made into a turtle (normal Turtle, Ninja Turtles wasn't a cartoon at this stage) for my 3rd Birthday. I think when I was older I had a cake of Mario's face, not sure on that though.
Unfortunately they're all I can remember at the moment.

My one was shaped like the Star Trek Enterprise. I have no idea why, I was 8 and never watched Star Trek. Poor mum slaved laboured herself to make it too bad nobody ate it apart from me and a few others. _________________ XBOX Live Lord Halo Nerd1

Happy birthday!
I had mine on Monday. I was lucky enough to have it land on the beginning of the school certificate. Ehh.. .. It probably didn't help either that I wasn't prepared for the exams at all. _________________

Happy double dozen rodvcpetrie! I like the idea of counting major birthdays by base 12, mainly because I'm about to turn 30. The decimal system makes me feel old, but by the dodecade I'm still 6 years off my triple dozen! I can just flip between the two systems feigning youth until I'm 60 of which 10 and 12 are both factors. But whichever way you look at it 60's old.
The most elaborate cake that was ever made for me was shaped like a train. I don't remember it first hand ans I was only 3 but it was featured on the cover of 'The Woman's Weekly Birthday Cookbook' . I have appreciated my mother's all night baking vigil from photos and her fractured recollections of what was a long night. I never again got a cake that gooD!
My birthday which is still 2 months away has begun to occupy my mind. I've decided to have it on the Saturday of the full moon in January. An all afternoon/twilight/night affair including spit roasts and alcohol. In my dam I'll have a small armada of rubber dinghy's complete with fishing gear for hooking trout. Its tree lined banks replete with hammocks and the paddock below scattered with couches and furniture for postprandial chilax. Decks on the porch to crank vinyl as shadows get long. When the full moon rises gaming will shift from the guitar her station in the courtyard and Wii station in the livingroom to a massive screen suspended among the pines down the bottom of the block. Big screen Saturn Bomberman and Death Tank Zwei and whichever other multiplayer morsel takes fancy. On the stroke of midnight a bit of cult cinema, I'm thinking Alexandro Jodorowsky's surreal religious mash-up exploitation flic 'The Holy mountain'. Anyone who's left awake after that can play Rez (with certain associated peripherals under seat cushion). And then I'll be 30. Invite out soon to any of you in adelaide!
