yeah, i'm not 100% happy with it, mostly because of the deterioration in quality through making it fit within all the size limits - especially the text, which was a lot clearer in bitmap form, but at over 300kb, it's well outside the limits.
but it's probably better than anything else i've ever made personally before.
it really sucked trying to get a good image of the cube, and then being able to:
a) see it through the HDR lighting (which i eventually turned off for the purposes of taking the shot.
b) getting a shot that was decently scaleable to get not only what it was, but also that there isn't a heap of random crud in the image.
i couldn't see any way of turning off the HUD for screen-grabbing either. the aiming reticule was the biggest annoyance of mine in screen-shotting.
that smiley is awesome.

Open up the developer console in-game, and put in "cl_drawhud 0"
thats a standard source engine command, and i havent tested it in portal, but i dont see any reason why it shouldnt work.
(i THINK the crosshair is counted as part of the hud..)

If there's one thing to fault, it's the avatar and the green, just doesn't fit into a theme that's around Hitsugaya and the ice blue.
Sig is definitely awesome though, even more so with a slight opacity blend from where the image meets the background, so there's less of a sharp connection between the two

I'm loving the Bleach sets, specially the Byakuya one (sorry Eyce, he's clearly cooler than Hitsugaya  ).
I'll probably change mine once I get Prime 3 to something more relevant to the game itself.

I knew I shouldn't have trusted myself when I stole it off Wiki when I realised I was able to view the text unlike my old PC. And I knew you'd come on in and tell me off.

Haha, we can both like the same character, right Eyce?  And just to clarify, as Sylar said his name is Hitsugaya Toushiro, but his zanpakutou (his sword basically) is called Hyorinmaru.

The use of the same image for the signature and avatar is something that well... you know, has been mentioned by a lot of people as a pet peeve to dislike...
Also, again, it's unnecessary to have all that text in the signature, makes hardly and sense to have it and detracts from the overall quality of the signature.

Well, I'm not sure about the avatar, I wanted something that matched the sig well, and that seemed like a good choice.
As for the text, that's something I had in mind from the beginning, I basically built the sig around it. I'm not sure how it detracts exactly since it fits in with the image and is only a short sentence.

Ads, here's why it isn't that good:
1. You have a giant unnecessary BLEACH logo in your sig that contrasts poorly.
2. Text on the top and the bottom is really obtrusive to the art, at least make the "Sit upon the Frozen Heavens" smaller.
3. Your avatar doesn't match well, it matches perfectly because it's straight from the signature. Change it to something that would compliment it, not match 100% if I stuck it right over your sig.

just thought i'd throw my weight behind the "don't use the same image image" campaign.
i know it's a bit hypocritical coming from someone whose last sig was the avatar repeated, but i think there's a difference between using an abstract image to using a character image.
if you are going to use the same image, i think scale changes make all the difference. if you had scaled part of the image to focus on a particular element of the picture, then it would be alright, but i find it a little disconcerting when the scale is the same.
i'm trying to come up with an example and really all i can think of is this:
if you'd made a Heroes set, using Hiro as your design, it would look good if you had a picture of Hiro holding his sword for the sig, and then used the same picture, but zoomed in on the sword's handle/hilt, focusing on the Godsend icon.
for your set, i think you could get away with an avatar that is JUST his hand holding the sword, with the hand as the focal centre.
i also really don't like the Bleach logo in the sig. i don't think it suits the rest of it.
but, like i said of mine - at the end of the day, YOU are the only one you have to please. if you like it, by all means run with it.

1. I wasn't sure what size to make the Bleach logo, I really just put it in because I needed something to fill the space. I was trying to find a shot of Hyorinmaru in ice dragon form facing the screen, but I couldn't
2. I don't really think it's obtrusive myself, but I can always make it a bit smaller like you said.
3. I know about my avatar, I was just looking for a quick fix really. I might do what Obs suggested, or I might just find a different pic.
GT: I was debating over which spelling to use, everyone seemed to spell it differently. In the end I went with that spelling, but I can always change it.
Edit: Well, I remade it from scratch to see how it went. I changed the spelling, changed the colour of the text and reduced the size of the text. As for the Bleach logo, well as I said, it was just filler. Here's how it looks normally:
Since you guys don't seem to like the Bleach logo there, any suggestions as to what I should have there?
How about a smaller, frozen looking Bleach logo?

^ It's perfectly valid for people watching the dubs to use dubbed names, it's just my own personal tick really. I just thought if you're editing it anyway, and it's not too hard, it would look cooler if it were spelt the Japanese way.

Admeister: I think it looks good empty. Less is more, you don't need to force all the space to be filled You already have a semitransparent snowflake thing there...
(I'd probably have gone for Hitsugaya's squad flower...)
In any case something subtle is better than something solid 
As for the differences in naming... since I feel like elaborating a bit more on what Gtpod has written...
"Hyorinmaru" is (presumably) the spelling of the English (dubbed/manga) version. In other words it's the spelling if you have in your mind an English pronunciation, which is derived from the Japanese but is rarely the same (especially thanks to American accents in dubs) and not always pronounced with the Japanese "r".
"Hyourinmaru" is a modified Hepburn romanization, preserving long vowel sounds, which tells you how to pronounce the name accurately without hurting the ears of nearby Japanese speakers
There's nothing inherently wrong with using your own region's version, it's just that I prefer to go by the original pronunciation, along with all the meaning it carries
Back to the topic, I think I'm going to take the opposite tack and change my avatar away from ´3 a short while after beating it My sig will be getting a revamp too.
It's staying with Bleach though.
