I'm just finding it really hard to get excited by this...if there's one thing that bothers me about games more than anything else, it's longevity. I don't like to finish a full-priced game in one or two settings, it's just not the kind of value I'm looking for
What exactly does all the additional content involve? Does it add a substantial amount to the 6 hour single player story? _________________

The multiplayer will hook you, single player is amazing while it lasts.

I bet the PS3 one will have all the PC graphical improvement. Motion blur is great, shame it didnt come on 360 (or I dont remember). _________________

I've never played the PC version but I do remember there being motion blur in the 360 version. When you move the camera in stuff and did the quick turn there was awesome amounts of blur and I'm guessing there was plenty more in there too (been a while since I've played).
Given the extremely high tech specs required for the PC version (and developer laziness) I wouldn't expect the game to look much better than the 360. Why bother when they'll make the same money either way? I know...what an awesome way to think _________________

meh it's an ok action game, the only reason it sold so well was because it was released during the mid year gaming drought.

Here's hoping that Dead Rising also gets a conversion. I've been tempted to buy a 360 just to do some zombie bashing...

See that would have been a MUCH better announcement. They both sold the same (though LP did it faster) and it's just a much better game overall. Hell they could have just announced both - it's not as if PS3 players aren't used to getting older games. _________________

Nah I dont think it had it, at least not as good as the PC version. Here is example of motion blur
The demo I played much better on a PC than a console, except you needed a good GPU to boot. _________________

The Lost Planet PC demo was the first worldwide to support DirectX 10. The trail-blazing was almost unheralded. Now it's the PS3's turn. _________________
