Stupid French N00bs. First Demo's are to hard to make and now its seems for Ubisoft at least, games are too.

So, ditch the "five languages" and release the US english one here in a PAL format....there is some space saved and a quicker release date....... _________________

I wonder whats the specifics are about the memory issues, never heard of such a PS3 problem.
Aslong as the game ends up good and the PS3 version well, no complaints.

Agreed. The game should be finished by now rather than ironing out issues like this. I see this game getting delayed as well or released rushed.

Looks like there's trouble in paradise. I guess even with the next gen these developer's eyes are too big for their belly.

If the 360 is having problems with fitting games on a dvd now, where will it be in 24 months. Im not upgrading my 360 or PS3 to a new console generation before 2012, no matter what they release. _________________

thats what i have been wondering since day one. guess they will just have to use multiple discs for the big games. not sure what the go is with the ps3 tho thought that should of been sweet. sure they will work it out tho. _________________

certain languages on different disks
Xbox 360 has 512MB RAM shared for system and graphics
PlayStation 3 has 256MB for system and 256MB for graphics, not as varied as the x360

Gee, why don't they make two versions of the game? You know, alter the game for the different consoles like every other game developer does.
Oh, and if this thing struggles with DVD's, how freaking big is the install going to be on my PC?

I've always wondered that. Everyone is going 'oh look, 360 is screwed, no Blu-Ray', but PC games are fine. Of course I might be wrong, Assassin's Creed might have spilled out onto a second disc, which would suck. _________________

Yeah, but as production values on games increase, there will be an expectation of larger game worlds, better textures, better draw distances and variety in terms of things like terrain. You don't have to convince me that Oblivion looks awesome- it's one of my favourite games ever, but the fact is that games get better looking over time and Oblivion has quite a few obvious deficiencies.

No flame war intended guys, but Assassin's Creed is obviously a hugely anticipated game, so any news on it's development is interesting, whether it be on 360 or PS3. The fact that both are having problems makes it less material for a flame war than if we just reported on say, the 360 issues or PS3 issues alone.

Plus the fact that Ubisoft were very careful to do the same. I can imagine them getting more than a few harsh words if someone in the development team was bad-mouthing one of the two companies' systems. Even EA had to be diplomatic about the PS3 version of Madden running at 30fps on the PS3 with a kind of "Our bad. We understand if you don't want to get it, no biggie" disclaimer. _________________ "There are always casualties in war, gentlemen. Otherwise it wouldn't be war. You mean further delayed? Assassins Creed was originally slated for release in February 2007, I remember heaps of people going crazy pre-ordering it over at play-asia as they were offering the collectors edition which comes with a 12" figure for something like US$59.95. Then the game got delayed with a TBA time frame and the people who pre-ordered would've had to wait longer _________________ RIP Buddha 19/10/1952 - 03/01/2004

This is truely the curse of multiplatform development. I wish this was a PS3 exclusive (because that's where it seems to have started development). I have a feeling that it will be buggy and have framerate issues.
Still, it's on my must buy list ATM. _________________ Shin J Leon.

Why don't you get it for computer then? It's going to look a damn sight better, and run like a charm (considering you forked out so much). Add that all to the fact that you'll get it 20 bucks cheaper on PC and there's really no reason why you wouldn't.
