Every one of these games are just awesome, the graphics are just crazy, the gameplay is nice, and the performance on each game is great to, had all the settings on high @ 1280x1024 Res and they were all smooth has silk!
Downloading Unreal Tournament 3 Demo right now off Gamearena!
Defiantly getting all 3 games! _________________ Became a DAD on the 29/10/09 @ 10:47am, to a 7lbs 71/2oz baby girl, named Gianne Lee Joseph-Webster.

Yes vlakas thats my current pc!
UT3 Demo also is great taking some pic with fraps now even a video of the map for those still downloading
Pictures,

This thing is crazy its like those alien pod from War of the Worlds.

Note I was playing with 3 bots on that and those were the frames I was getting with everything on high once again, if I crank the bots to 5 with the other map the game starts to slow down on my rig.
Just got off multiplayer, and man I think all the pros are on it already lol, though my ping was 200 which sucks.
There are 2 maps, with 4 playing settings (I think, didn't really check) there are Deammatch, Team Deathmatch, Duel, and another one I forget!
Can't wait to try the single player conpaign . _________________ Became a DAD on the 29/10/09 @ 10:47am, to a 7lbs 71/2oz baby girl, named Gianne Lee Joseph-Webster.

I'm having problems with UT3 logging, it just stalls and I can't even alt+ctrl+del to exit. I have to reboot to get back to windows!

I got CoD4 Demo and UT3 demo. For fast downloads I'd recommend Internode's Mirror.
Call of Duty 4 SP Demo
UT3 demo
IMPRESSIONS
Call of Duty 4
Looks quite a bit prettier than the 360 Beta when maxxed out. Gameplay remains pretty scripted, and there is only one real way to beat the levels, though you can move through the areas in any way you want.
Quite a few weapons that were unseen in the beta make an appearance, with a larger variety of attachments. At one point you have to take out a few tanks using a Javelin anti-tank missile, which is pretty spectacular as it fires straight before climbing a few hundred meters straight up, and homing in on the tank's weak top armour.
The scripted nature of the demo and the fact that characters just seem to follow their script every time is somewhat disappointing, and while it was fun, I would be playing the brilliant multiplayer over the SP campaign if I was to choose between the two.
Ingame screenshot of max settings
UT3
Wow. It runs silky smooth when maxed out. Though for such a graphically impressive game, I would have expected some more advanced settings, as it is lacking Anti Aliasing and only has a few sliders.
As for gameplay, it presents the same fast paced FPS action as the previous titles in the series, and the Demo has Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Vehicle CTF and Duel modes.
The Match settings also seem to be watered down from 2k4, with no mutators, and not as many options, which is somewhat concerning.
That said, I played it for a few hours last night and fell asleep around 5am, I played mostly with bots, as the only servers at the time were from Europe or the USA, where it was unplayable. I'll play some MP tonight though as it will be a bit more local then I'd imagine.
Ingame screenshot, max settings. Boom Headshot Killing Spree! _________________

Oh god. I can't get off UT3.
Max settings, 1680x res, silk smooth with 16 bots.
And online play is a blast. All the old UT guys are back, so the matches are tense as hell.

Thanks for the links A13x. I'm getting an excellent download speed through internode!
With the Crysis demo being so far away I'm giving in to temptation and checking out the UT3 demo. I've been hearing a fair bit about it and it looks really good, I'm curious to have a go after playing UT2004 up until now. PC gaming is starting to get a little more attractive lately, though my rig is a bit underpowered really, need a better CPU since I only have a P4 3.06ghz. My memory and graphics card are mostly up to standard though (2GB and a 7900GT 256MB respectively). _________________

CoD 4 - One of the thoughts that come straight away to me as I remember what to criticise about it is that the blood effects are crap.
Other than that, its certainly a change for CoD as it moves into modern warfare, really strange not see'ing the old WW2 setting. But it is a nice change and I can see this a very fun game Ill be getting asap.
Am yet to try UT3, although Ive never been a true fan, other than a brief spell in UT2k4 where they moved to vehicles and a sort of conquest mode like BF.
Jericho I have no idea bout, anyone give me a brief summary as to what this is? _________________ xfire = andylulz

Man, this is so annoying. I was downloading the UT3 demo, it was at 98% and then it suddenly stopped and said the file was finished! I was downloading it through a download accelerator so that I could resume (which proved to be a smart move since it suddenly stopped half way through the download and I had to update change the source URL), and now I'm stuck with a useless file! 750MB wasted. I tried installing it and it had an error about half way through saying some files were corrupt. No UT3 for me. I'm not sure whether to try downloading it again or not. _________________

Next time, use a DL manager, or even better, switch to an ISP that actually lets you download this stuff for free. Even Telstra lets you do that
EDIT: Oh you used a DL manager.. which one did you use? The only decent one is FlashGet IMO

Thats made it unplayable for me, still getting owned
CoD4 demo was crap IMO. The way that level was designed was really poor. All over the place really. The BETA looked a lot better running on my 80cm CRT TV too, although thats self-explanatory
I'll get my UT3 criticisms out of the way now. They didn't include many new features in the demo, I really struggled to find anything groundbreaking (although that could be also seen as a good thing, UT2004 was brilliant..). The game engine was amazingly efficient but the menu lacked enough graphical customization options (strange considering how many options previous UT games have had). Art design of Gears of War = art design of Unreal Tournament 3. Of course, you could say 'screemies have been around for ages you idiot'. Yeah well.. playing the game shows how similar they are up-close. Little more variety wouldn't have gone astray..
Oh and I hate those hudgun models. _________________

Well, I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I've had to wind down my screen res to below 800x600 for any decent kind of performance on one machine (nvidia card) and 1024x768 on the other (with ATI).
Any tips on what graphic settings work best? _________________ GAMEparents

What are your machine's specs MrAndyPuppy?
Frozen and I are both running Core 2 Quads and 8800GTX's at max settings, so that explains our performance!
For lower specced machines, all I could recommend is lowering the sliders and turning off any unwanted extras. _________________

hey a13x, in CoD4, could you get any of the graphics options above normal in Vista, because I wasn't able to do anything above normal for any of the options where it gave the choice, and I'm running XP.... Other than that i can run both UT3 and CoD4 maxed at 1920x1200 with no slowdown either, although i do notice a bit of pausing when loading in UT, but I'd probably think thats because it hasnt been fully optimised yet.
