I'd like to see people's views on this, as this is a very debatable subject.
I think its PES though _________________

You mean that it's a debate? EA spends more money on premium adverting space in games magazines all over the world and Winning Eleven/PES STILL gets higher review scores across the board. Even from people who give Medal of Honor and Need for Speed games 9/10 scores. _________________ My Collection: http://users.ign.com/collection/KogiKaishakunin

I would usually say Pro Evolution but this time around I would probably say that Fifa would be more fun this year. 08 just plays so much better than the last games and the be a pro mode is awesome. Plus of cause Fifa has all the licensing including the A League now. Fifa 08 is a very big update from the last titles. _________________

The general pace of the PES 08 demo on Live is way too fast for a simulation, but thats really the only problem. I've read at PESFan that the full game has been "slowed" to a more realistic speed, which is definately a good thing.
I'm just not liking the FIFA engine at all. Player resposiveness when shooting and passing is often very slow, the 8-directional movement is overly pronounced and very jerky making it difficult to play in tight situations in offense, and the ball still sticks to players feet/bodies in alot of situations (eg: every time the CPU intercept a pass, it sticks to their feet, regardless of the amount of pace on the ball). The AI on your team is also crap, especially the goalkeeper whose so slow to react when you hold down Y to bring him out to collect a ball or contend a one-on-one chance.

EA r working hard for our $100/40 pound annual deposit.
Obviously not hard enough, PES is better. _________________

After so many years of EA pumping out the FIFA serries, I just didn't see massive improvements in the game, the gameplay really bugged as the serries progressed. So I moved to PES, haven't looked back! _________________

I am most impressed with the latest installment in the FIFA series. That being said i will not buy it until i see the full version of PES. Always been a PES fan but am not dismissive of the fact that i may end up owning FIFA 08. _________________

^ In FIFA the ball still sticks to players too much. There's very rarely a loose ball anywhere on the field.
FIFA 09 desperately needs sliders like EA's other games, namely a "player ball control" slider.
