A story about Halo 3 and 360 hardware sales being up? Oh boy.

Let me preempt the inevitable, just for fun:

"LOL people are only buying more 360s because they keep breaking LOL"

"Well at least the 360 has GAMES to play on it LOL"

"Yeah, when it isn't being REPAIRED LOL"

"... SONY SUCKS!"

Ad nauseum.

It probably helps that you can get a 360 'tard pack for the same price as a Wii. Nintendo really need to adjust their pricing to better reflect the exchange rates.

And possibly the hardware that is actually in the thing as well. Paying $400 for what is a mildly souped up GameCube with new moving thingy sensors is hardly good value, especially with the Wii's current game library..

EDIT: And I think the PS3 is the console that rips us off as a result of the exchange rate the most - but then again, this is Australia, the PS3 will eventually win this region regardless.

I hate how Gfk only releases detailed AU sales figures when they are 'allowed' to by the big companies so they can boast about it. eg. MS release of Halo 3, Sony did the same when PS3 was released. It's pretty hard to get an overall view of the industry and sales when only tid-bits are released now and then. Likewise, why don't the Gfk charts have sales figures so they are actually meaningful.

The game rocks so I'm happy to see people are playing it. Certainly beats everybody buying 'The Sims : Orgy expansion'

Are you saying Halo fans are bigger nerds than Nintendo fans?

No really? The console that's been out for a year with a bigger user base had more people in it then the Wii? icon_wink.gif
