Ok i have an idea instead of using quotes because basically anyone can Google it. Why don't we use pictures instead. I think it would be so much better imo ahh well just a suggestion _________________

The point is not to google it but to use you own knowledge of movies to win a turn to put up a quote
(hmmm... maybe their could be a $poon prize for either those people that answer correctly or perhaps for those that post quotes that stump everyone) _________________ there are 10 types of people in this world. those that know binary and those that dont

well, this thread is "The Movie Quote Game" not the "Movie Pictures Game".
there was a "What Movie is this Picture from?" thread a while ago, started concurrently to this one, but it died much faster, when this one thrived. you're right, there isn't much stopping people googling the quotes beyond the honour system, but this probably helped contribute to the longevity of the thread, as if there is a quote that stumps people long enough, someone will just google it. (it's frowned upon, btw.)
also, it is possible that El Taco knew Transamerica. it was quite heavily promoted in WA, and received a reasonably large distribution for an arthouse flick here. and that quote featured in the advertising we got for it, so he needn't even to have seen the film, but just the trailer.
if you want a Movie Pictures Game, make one - that's the beauty of forums. _________________

It wasn't a 'smart arse' reply, just an honest one - there isn't anything stopping people from Googling the quotes, except honouring the rules of the game (or, as I call it, good form).
As Obs said, if you want to start a different game then you're free to do so. _________________

i'm pretty sure it was intended as a black comedy - at least, it's in the same style as Get Shorty/Be Cool anyway.
ok... new quote: | Quote: | | I've been coming to this circle for about five years, and measuring it. The diameter and the circumference are constantly changing, but the radius stays the same. Which brings me to the number 5. There are five letters in the word Blaine. Now, if you mix up the letters in the word Blaine, mix 'em around, eventually, you'll come up with Nebali. Nebali. The name of a planet in a galaxy way, way, way... way far away. And another thing. Once you go into that circle, the weather never changes. It is always 67 degrees with a 40% chance of rain. |

ive got one lol from one of my favorite movies...
"For too long I've been parched of thirst and unable to quench it. Too long I've been starving to death and haven't died. I feel nothing. Not the wind on my face nor the spray of the sea. Nor the warmth of a woman's flesh."
