Rage Against The Machine are touring here for the first time in 10 or so years.

I wasn't expecting them to tour outside of the US. The dates here appear to coincide with Big Day Out season as well, so I dare say if you miss out on the Sydney or Melbourne shows that have been announced you will be able to catch them at BDO.

If they don't do a Brisbane show at all, I'm sure they'll incite a riot

RATM is probably my number one on the list of bands i want to see live. i missed their 1996 BDO appearance, so i've only seen their shows via their VHS and DVDs.

when they reformed, i was really hoping that they'd head back here.

I saw them at BDO – they were good – I just wouldn’t go interstate for them right now. Their first album and Evil Empire are gold, but I’m not the biggest fan of their later stuff. Most of it is good, just not great.

Do you guys think it will be crazy down there, sometimes it's not(like at tool most everyone was cool) but ratm, i don't know....i don't pay good money to be punched in the face and have my feet stamped on for 3 hrs straight.Tbh, i'm more worried about her.

Jibbs not being a sourpuss but couples who stand on the floor ruin others experiences, especially when they deliberately stand close to the stage and get stroppy when they get knocked around in the mosh. But I think it'd be fine as long as you weren't in the pit. Beats the hell out of sitting down.

I'll see you in the pit, Goob! We'll start a circle pit and start throwin down some windmills and gorillas and show them hardcore kids how it's done!

Well that was a useless fuckin half hour.

I didn't have a snowballs chance in hell of getting ga tickets, and after i tried for 5 mins to get those i figured i better jump at any seating ones left.

Nothing.

Unfuckingbelievable.I seriouly sat there from 8:55 on refreshing the page, as soon as it came up i selected 2 tickets, ga, find tickets, it searched and then nothing.I can't believe it.Melbourne tickets are ALREADY available on ebay, for $400 a pair.

Ticketmaster need their ass kickin in for allowing people to buy 6 tickets in one hit.

Neways, wow, i'm fucked now.

seriously, other states need to follow Queensland's lead and introduce laws making it illegal to resell tickets for more than 20% above face value. sure, it'd still suck having to pay some degenerate opportunistic f**ker for a show, but at least it's not 400% more.

What really irk's me is that it was not HARD to get tickets, it was an impossibility on my end.What was really frustrating and worring on my end was that while it was checking for tickets(the page where it says 'please wait x minutes, we are looking for tickets' it kept coming up with this familiar error message



I kept hitting yes, and then it kept loading, msg came up again, clicked yes, loaded for another 30 secs, msg came up again, clicked yes.....repeat this about 5 times until it finally came back with the message that no tickets i selected were available.And then i'd try again but the error msg wouldn't come back up....just from the loading screen(searching for tix)--->no tix available screen.

What has me concerned is that it was trying to display the page showing me my tickets but that shitty error msg stalled the loading and booted me to the back to the end of the line.........is this a possibility???I've since found out how to disable it in explorer, but that's like shutting the gate after the bull has bolted.

If this is the case, not cool.Not cool at all.Ticketmaster's website, in general, looks like it was designed by some yr10 IT drop out anyways.

I knew this was going to happen in Melbourne, RATM playing a single show at Festival Hall is seriously ****ing stupid. They could have filled Rod Laver Arena about 3 times over, but no, they pick the smallest possible option when it comes to main band sites. If they don't announce more dates they have rocks in their heads. Plain and simple.
