Well, It's a policy that they have to throw out the left over food at the end of the night, and there is always a fair bit left over at closing time. It helps to cook extra of what you want to take home, (twister, burgers, wateva) half an hour before closing time.
You probably would have guessed that we just keep cooking chicken not for a specific order, so when people come to get it, it's all cooked before they've ordered.
But it depends on what manager is on duty, most of mine are laid back but the store manager is a real tight ass.
It's better if you don't do this until you have got to know everyone and you aren't considered a noob at the store, (2-3 months) or you will make a bad impression.

KFC sucks, Maccas is where it's at. At least there you actually get paid decent money, and it's not as greasy. I'm currently working there as a casual thing while I'm studying full time at Uni, though I've been working there since I was 15 (almost 19 now). The adult pay is pretty decent, $13 an hour (it just increased from $12). It's not exactly exciting, but the money is good. _________________

Slow down tiger, do you get 1.5 times on weekends?
I'm 16 and work saturdays at 1.5 times giving me $12.12 an hour, not too bad really. I work in a garden centre, it's pretty awesome, the manager gives you the odd shit job, but working on his day off makes it pretty laid back. Just hang out and talk with friends there, serve customers. Easy money.
I also umpire Junior AFL, do one game a week getting at least $30, I think I moved up an age group, so $36 cash in hand, starting to put a decent amount of cash together. Then I bought the 360 and half of it was gone..
In the future I have no idea what I want to do.. _________________

Nah, it's a flat rate for adults, the only time I get 1.5 times is on public holidays. Sounds like you've got a pretty good thing going with the garden centre, and the umpiring is a great idea, pays well too. The only thing it costs you is time I guess. Good stuff man, sounds like you're raking in a fair bit (more than me anyway). How many hours do you usually do on Saturdays (I work on Saturday too, usually for 4 hours)? _________________

Yeah I get 2.5 on public holidays, so last one I worked I got around $18 an hour or so.. Craaazy. I work just Saturdays for the full day of 7 hours, which isn't too bad really, beats Thursday nights. And with my bday coming up I might get a further pay push, fingers crossed.
The umpiring isn't too bad, takes up about 2.5 hours, with paperwork and one training session a week, which is good, as I need the fitness time. I basically use that as my cash for the week to pay for various little things, like other sport, bus n stuff. Unfortunately season finishes soon.. But work will go back to 8 hours a day, so it helps even out a bit. _________________

Sweet, you get a good day of work, nearly $85. You'll probably get that pay push, that's how it works at Maccas anyway. Shame abut the umpiring but that's pretty convenient about the 8 hours thing it balances out well. Very impressive set up you have there, I think I'm jealous! _________________

Do you have a Job? Not currently (am a full-time student at TAFE studying Hospitality Management)
What Job do you want in the future? either:
- something in a hotel (front-office, confrence & catering, events or housekeeping if i have to)
- a resort
- or something in tourism (i love travelling)
Am aiming at that management level for hotels & such.
Want to keep gaming as a past-time only methinks
I say 'something' a lot in that i have a lot of theory based qualifications, but not much on-hand experience to back it up, hence why next year i plan to have a year off of studying (for the first time in the last 14 yrs or so), to get a job/try things etc etc
How is your Job? TAFE aint too bad, especially the hours
Do you know anyone with cool Jobs? not really no... _________________

His "Brother-in-law", not his brother who works in law. Probably does some form of manual labour.

Thank you for pointing out the obvious (Which I managed to miss). That's much more sensible than what I was thinking.
I was thinking along the lines of lifting all those heavy law books and/or ego, or possibly objecting too quickly in court. _________________

Do you have a job? IT slob level 3 at UNSW
What job do you want in the future? Overpaid, underworked IT slob
How is your job? Good coworkers, lax hours but political idiocy means I'm overworked and will probably lose my job by next year Also Unis don't pay very well.
Do you know anyone with cool jobs? I know a few writers/designers for games magazines, it's a lot of work at deadline time but pretty rewarding, and you get to play games. I also know someone who evaluated mobile phone games in Japan (not as fun as it sounds ^^)
Do you know anyone with a terrible job? I know a dentist, you have to have your hands in people's mouths all day and smell their breath. At least it pays well! _________________ Playing: 30sec Hero, Scribblenauts, Dungeon Crawl

Nar mate, i try not to punch people. People dont relise how dangours it is to hit somebody in the head. I will only punch somebody if they punch me or its the last resort. Id rather just grab you and put you againts a wall to try and calm you down. It takes, alot to get me to want to try and knock you out. Im a pretty mellow person. But with that said iv seen some crazy stuff over the years. Violent stuff, funny stuff, sexy stuff , and sad stuff. I guess it comes with the job. Its a job that really opens you eyes.

Do you have a job? - I'm a business analyst
What job do you want in the future? - Something else. I just had another job brought to my attention which is pretty much what I do now but for $15-20k more a year. That'd help. If I won the lottery though, I'd open my own gym.
How is your job? Boring. Plus I have to fight through beaurocracy every single day.
Do you know anyone with cool jobs? - Yeah, a couple. One of my best friends works at a music venue in Wolverhampton in the UK and she's always telling me about all the famous people she gets to meet (Jimmy Page and Audioslave are a few that spring to mind), and my brother in law is communications manager for a high profile car manufacturer. He spent 2 weeks last month test driving a new car around Tasmania choosing roads for the journalists to test drive the car along and eating at restaurants to choose a menu for the same journos to eat at and getting paid for it. Lucky sod.
