Damn, that's bad news.  I was really looking forward to playing a demo this year, sounds like the game is progressing too slowly for them to release one.

Yes, but I was just referencing this with the other 13% thread, since I would say they are certainly linked. 13% of the actual game completed doesn't exactly bode well for a demo being released, so in this situation their slowness is annoying. We'll just have to take comfort in the fact that they will be showing a new trailer at TGS (and it better be good!  )

So, they'll be releasing it on the PS3 posthumous? 
But really, that news sucks. Its one of only very few titles that I'm (and im sure others) are looking forward to on the PS3. If it won't be playable until 2008, that means it probably won't be available until 2009

Well, Square Enix actually promised one earlier in the year, which obviously won't be happening.
Probably the one thing that's apparent through this piece of news is that the game will definitely be delayed until 2009, or 2010 at the latest, since Square Enix aren't prepared to have playable demos available until next year.
