I WON!

Can you imagine my excitement when I'm on my computer and suddenly a box appears in the bottom right hand corner of my screen saying that I have received an email from prizewinners@noa.nintendo.com.

This was the email I got:
Dear nintendo.com.au member, Congratulations! Nintendo Australia would like to congratulate you on being selected as one of the lucky winners of our Megaman ZX Giveaway. You have won a copy of Megaman ZX for Nintendo DS. [and it goes on to ask me for my details etc]

Like OMG!!

I can't remember what I wrote to win this prize, because I can't remember what the question was. If anyone remembers what the question was, tell me and I might remember what I wrote.

Not sure how much you'll like the game, I found it very good when I had it though, so enjoy. I've entered those Nintendo comps sooo many times and never won, you start to get tired of it after a while.

This is the first tangible thing I have won from Nintendo (I also got invited to the Wii Party).
It does get a big boring entering all the competitions, but I take my time in entering every single one, coming up with clever answers that I hope stand out amoung all the other entries. And eventually, with enough persistence, it pays off.
Don't give up hope of Adz - entering the comps gives you little chance of winning, but not bothering to enter them gives you no chance.

Like Adz and the Answer, I've been entering virtually every Nintendo contest for the past 5 years or so and am yet to win a thing (except a plush nintendog, but it was given to the first 1000 or so registered people, so I don't know if that's a 'win').

Congrats. I never win anything in competitions but I did win two free snickers bars in that special thing. But other than that winning isn't really my thing. Coming second is more my thing.

Congrats!

The only thing I have won from NoAu is the Metroid gameplate (although they WERE giving away 1000... not so lucky it seems). I remember the Metoird question was something along the lines of: If you could be a superhero, who would you be and what powers would you have.
I wrote: Electo-static Discharge Man! I would rub my socked-feet and slightly shock enemies lots of times.

Oh yeah, I entered that one too... I think the question was 'if you were the hero/ine of their next videogame, what would your name be?'. Something like that. My answer was 'Astra-Sky-Moondance' (yes, I spent a lot of time thinking up something that sounds like a joke but could possibly still be considered a 'serious' contender), I think that Nintendo is prejudiced against hippy names.
