I am one of those owners of vista. I love it, it's really beautiful i reckon. Just one problem hehe no sound at all. So i am taking my pc in a repair shop today and getting a new sound card or trying to fix this one up not shore. Either way when it's fixed i will be playing Halo 2 on vista than soon to be shadow run. Anyone else uses vista???? _________________

I use Vista Ultimate, so far I've had far less troubles than I've had with XP but that can be put down to that almost all of my hardware was "Vista Certified".
It does like to use up a lot of system resources so I don't recommend anyone running it with less than 2 GiB of memory and less than a fairly decent graphics adapter. On boot-up Vista is using 938 MiB of RAM

Yeah I use it, few program incompatibility problems but im sure they will all be ironed out over the next 6 months.
Agree with nikack, wouldnt run on less than 2Gb RAM especially if it is going to be your games machine.

I use it
The only problems I've had are to do with needing updated drivers, some programs not being compatible (Stupid HP), and it having trouble connecting to networks being mediated by programs such as nazi.
Personaly I like it, but I could understand some people not having the patience with these initial problems.
However as far as see it some people need to have the patience to deal with those initial problems so that all the impatient people can have a better run with it in the future.
Therefor they shold be thanking us vista pioneers insted of mocking us! _________________

I just installed Vista Ultimate 64bit on my machine yesterday as a dual boot with XP, so far all is good, and running faster than XP in my case. _________________

I had a simmilar problem... though it wasn't all of my sound just my sound in oblivion.
Anyway it only took a driver update to fix my problem as well. _________________

I'm currently using Vista Home Premium on my Toshiba Laptop. I'm really liking it. The little widgets you can instal are pretty good, so far I have the following widgets:
* Digital Clock
* Current Weather for Sydney
* Drive Information
* Battery Charge Level
* Processor/Core Usage Monitor
* Live Gamertag
I'll show you my setup:

That sounds like something specific to your computer because IE7 is pretty stable for me.
The only problem I had when moving to Vista was the sound card drivers, Creative decided that it couldn't be bothered to support the Live! series properly so I had to get an X-Fi instead. _________________

I dual booted WinXP and Vista Ultimate (32bit), I have to say I do like Vista, but I am still going to wait till the end of the year before using it has a main OS, when I do I will more likely to get Vista Ultimate since I am a big nerd . _________________ Became a DAD on the 29/10/09 @ 10:47am, to a 7lbs 71/2oz baby girl, named Gianne Lee Joseph-Webster.

Hav'nt had a chance to use Vista at any point myself, but those widgets are pretty nifty.
I might buy the OS when I can afford it, in about 12months or so
