There was a rumour about coloured nunchuks coming, no console as of yet.

Actually there was something about releasing different console colours to different regions.

I'm pretty sure I saw them the other day at Target packaged with the controller gloves. Just walked passed it so I didn't see a price or anything.

Q1: Does anyone have one of those Wii Carry Bags that Kmart were bundling with the Wii? Are they any good?

Q2: In regards to Wii Controller covers I noticed over at play-asia they got one with what looks like a lift-able flap to remove the batts:

http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-11v-49-en-70-1vma.html

Anyone know if it's any good?

I have it but I don't use it for my Wii, It seems stong though it looks like it could fit the Wii and 1 remote

Q. What internet speeds do you think will be needed to play on-line without lag?

I have noticed that a few new people are posting Wii related questions in new threads instead of in here. I was thinking that it may be due to the title of this thread. FAQ indicates that it is more a bunch of information rather than its real purpose - a place to ask questions.

Perhaps changing the title of the thread might help. Just an idea/suggestion...

Q: do the components cables make much difference to the look of the wii games? is 480p alot better?
the reason i asked is because i have a brand new tv and now have a ps3 as well just wondering if its a good option to get component cables for the wii?

The component cables definetly make a difference. The images look more vibrant and are clearer.

Even if you don't play on 480p, you'll still notice a difference.

Originally, I wasn't even going to purchase them due to the official Wii ones costing $50 but I am glad I made the decission.

That happens to mine as well.
And when I play Zelda:OoT

Do you play on Gamecube or Classic Controller?

I play on Gamecube and it automatically turns the wiimote off, either to save battery, or because its recognised another controller is being used

Not sure about Classic, because I don't own one.

The classic should turn the 'mote off. I know that the wiimote turns off when not in use but not when the classic controller is in use. Then again, I had problems in the beginning of the Wiimote losing sinc, it's fine now.

Has anyone had problems with Wii-motes? One of mine has stopped detecting movement (i.e. can't swing racket in Wii Tennis). The pointer still works. Tried taking the batteries out and unplugging the Wii over night. Still doesn't work.

Any suggestions other than ringing Nintendo? Haven't had the best experience with them so far, and others have had even worse ones...

err nothing of that nature...

Had a few sudden breakdowns and self-repairs. The weird thing is, most of it fixes itself. Maybe Nintendo sends out mandatory updates every now and then which fix technical errors in the remotes programming?

I wrote a thread about problems with SD card. I dont understand why my TF adaptor works and my normal SD card doesnt.

In reply to previous thread, I dont understand about the updating the card or what file format it takes?

Update: Wii says its cannot use the SD. Tried reformating it samething.

Is your Wii connected to the internet? If not, that's the problem. SD cards can only be used for photos until the Wii's internal firmware has been updated online.

Have you tried setting up the connection again? I have to do that fairly often, unfortunately.

At the moment my Broadband speed has been reduced to dial-up speeds, or slightly faster. I was wondering if this has a huge effect on Wii-Connect? I haven't got the Wii set up for the internet yet but when I do and my speed goes down again, will I still be able to run it smoothly?
