I'm getting the wheel in a fortnight's time when I get paid again, definitely. It may mean DiRT's purchase gets delayed for another week or so, but that is a sacrifice I am willing to make if it means I can take advantage of such an awesome deal.

I'm counting down the days, getting EB to price match the JB Hifi price for the Collectors Edition so I'll get $15 back. No idea which region I'll start in, I guess I'll decide once I get the game. Most likely I'll do like the above poster and start in the Asian region with an RX-7

I'm in a bit of a bind. I've got an order with Crave for $82 shipped, but JB have they LE for $84 and I get 10% off there. So it'd be $75 at JB, but would I be guaranteed an LE? I have exams at the moment so the day I get it doesn't matter really. It just seems a whole lot more convenient if I could grab it at JB and not have to wait on shipping, as well as get it cheaper. Argh, decisions! Someone make up my mind for me!

^^ Well ive got the LE ordered at DVDCrave as well, I read on there somewhere that they will ship the day before to ensure we have it on the 14th.
So long as it arrives on my desk at work before home time on Thursday ill be a happy man. If it doesn't ill be a p*ssed off man.
Anyway ill be up for some Palgn action next weekend...
just saw on DVDCrave that Forza 2 is Shipping Tues 12/6/07.

I do hope DVDcrave ship on the Tuesday as I've got Wednesday off and wouldn't mind being able to play Forza 2 all day 
Other time I've ordered from them they've shipped at least the day before so it arrives on the release date. A few times they've shipped a couple of days before so it could happen.

Hmm cant wait i pre ordered at EB so i get the LE and the forza shirt and a special car unlock code for VIP's.
Now ill prolly also pick up a wheel if i can scrounge up the money real quick..

Whoa hold up, what happened to you whoring it for as many achievements as possible and then returning it within the 7 days of purchase at EB?
Oh and also, what happened to DiRT supposedly being better? 
Sarcastic Nismo aside, the region I start in I think will be the Asian one. Purely so I can get my hands on a 350z as soon as possible. That said, I won't be starting the career instantly when I get the game anyway. I'll be going for a burn around each track and (when it comes to the tracks from the original game) seeing the subtle differences.

I'm jumping into Career and then building up my online profile for this game. I'd imagine the online element will make up a considerable amount of the gameplay so I really want to get into it.
Also whoring off virutal carspace to companies as advertisements seems like a cool idea, so I'm going to test that. Stay posted on the results.

1. Is there a preorder car code for the Australian release, I saw that the US has the Fairlazy Z (350z right?) as the preorder car... seems like a pretty big car to miss out on if you don't preorder?
2. Do credits from offline career work with the online career and vice versa?

I think EB have the pre-order car. Dunno about other places such as the DVDCrave preorder. I considered that but then decided id rather save $20-$30 and miss out on one car.
BTW its just the "Forza 2" race version of the 350z with the Forza paint job etc (the one on the cover). The normal 350z is still available to all.

1. The 350Z is still in the game. It's just a special 'Forza 2 edition' of it.
2. They were all one and the same in Forza1, so I doubt it'd be different this time around.
I'm thinking of cancelling my Crave order and just picking it up from JB now.

As much as im not a massive fan of EB, I cant help but feel bad about "renting" games from them. Especially given that I could go in and pay full price for a "new" game not knowing that someone had already played it for a week.
Anyway apparently a game store in Perth started selling it yesterday! $110 for the CE though, id rather wait 2 or 3 days and get it cheap.

Those are some nice looking paint jobs Chris. The Katamari one is awesome but i'd love to see an Ouendan themed one
Anyway DVDCrave sent out my copy today so hopefully it'll be here early tomorrow. I can't wait to get stuck into the career mode and start doing up some cars. Hopefully I'll be able to get some online play in this week too.

Does anyone think the wheel will be worth it just for this game??
I might get dirt too but not on release cos ill be spending all my money on wheel and dirt if i do decide to get a wheel..
I play on a 23" screen though and i couldnt see much in dirt with incar view so im not sure if wheel will be worth it on my screen.. wont see as much incar view.

EDIT: Well they put the pre-order on but didn't mention the shirt or bonus car, so I'll ask about them tomorrow when I pick it up I guess.
