Don't like it. Can't say it looks fugly, but more feminine. The black and white are so much more attractive. Why can't they give us some special themed DS Lites, like a Mario, Pokemon, Zelda, Metroid, whatever one.

Especially after our custom DS thread!

I'd like a shiny candy apple red one with white buttons. Compete with a black velvet slip case.

Maybe a white one with two cobalt blue GT stripes up the center - kind of a cobra special and store it in a polished aluminium case.

What about a limited edition coconut one - all brown husk on the outside and creamy white on the inside!

I might experiment and stick orange shag pile to the outside of a DS fat and cover the inside with a citrus orange printed laminate. What do you think?

I personally like this better than the white, but about the same as as black. It'll be a tough decision when I finally decide too get one, but black may take it, it looks so sleek and nice.

And I'm with you Jimmy, I'm hanging out for a special design DS Lite before I squander my money away. Something will really have to grab my attention to spend another $200.

the temptation to make a stencil and then spray a design onto my black DS is there, but i would probably find a way to print a design onto those plasticy stickers and do it that way, then i just cant be bothered as i still like the black DS lite

I think this 'lite' Blue makes the perfect complement to the Pink as far as tones go. This sort of thing just caters to a much wider scope of tastes. I like all the colours out so far. You have two shades and then two soft tones. Nice one Nintendo!

If you go to the top floor of Market City in Sydney, there's a dude with a stand there who'll vinyl graphic any of your portable techno items, the finish is pretty good, and there's a big range of patterns, but no Sonic, Mario or other game stuff.
I got this funky design

and it certainly makes a change from the black, plus it doesn't show fingerprints!

So what colours are available everywhere in the world? I know we have pink, polar white, black and now this....but what other colours are available? This sky blue one isn't really to my liking and i'm leaning towards the black one.

I'm holding onto my DS Phat until I find a nice special edition one, definately.
