Because I'm poor at the moment, I got my Mum a card and took her out and shouted her breakfast, and gave her a big hug  .
She never wants anything either, but I kinda feel bad if I don't give her anything, so I do usually.

I didn't get my mum anything because i refuse to be a pawn of corporate brainwashing. I get her stuff all the time, just not on Mother's Day.

^ Well yeah, businesses have these things called marketing departments. If a CD like that is going to be ready around this time of year, of course they're going to promote the **** out of it for mothers day. And when the thing is discounted to $15, I don't see any reason to complain.

I'm not saying that the company did anything wrong, just that consumers are highly predictable..
And by the way, we had it for $22.

Ditto - Although I sold my ticket to the second Melbourne show of the Secret Chiefs 3 so I could attend the little family dinner thing that I'd forgotten about... so I figure that makes up for it
