POSSIBLE SPOILERS
i think the episode was really all about setting up Peter Petrelli, and his empath overload (him go boom!).
it's funny, but when it was first hinted at that Peter might be an Empath "mutant", i wondered if he would be the bomb, mostly through absorbing the radioactive mans' power and not being able to control it, but absorbing everyones seems to be just as likely now.
i'm assuming there's going to be some twist in this. it'll be somewhat anti-climactic if this is right. _________________

The episode revealed that it isn't radioactive man that causes the explosion.

^ that's also true.
by showing how he (the Radioactive Man) is able to control his bursts, it pretty much removes him as a "suspect" of the explosion.
however, it's possible that this might be the twist. something else might set him off before the finale.
i'm wondering if Peter's dreams are infact a future prediction, like he thinks, or if they are some "hallucination" being projected into his head by someone else, either deliberately, or empathically. _________________

Not a bad episode this week, though the cliffhanger-ish thing of who is Claire's father seemed easy enough to guess to me, and then Seven went and made it even more obvious by showing the father's torso, and then my friend (who has seen more episodes than me and occasionally likes annoying me by revealing not-too-shocking-but-still-annoying plot twists) sent me an SMS with "do you want to know who Claire's father is? His initials are [_][_]". So, unless there are a hell of a lot of coincidences there, its a pretty predictable twist.
Other than that, though, not bad, save for the really going nowhere Niki stuff (but Nis will be happy enough with the side on almost arse shot anyways ) _________________

If it's not a dream it's going to be a very strange event, with all the characters from all threads ending up in the same place, with no-one else around, and acting pretty wierd. He seems to take it seriously tho. _________________ Playing: 30sec Hero, Scribblenauts, Dungeon Crawl

DAMN straight! That was the highlight of the episode, easily!
Okay maybe not, but anyway. I have to say though, I didn't get the same impression that you did with regards to Claire's (who is also hot I might add) father. Is it really that obvious and I am blind, or are you just more observant than I am? _________________

There doesn't appear to be any real indication of who it is in the episode, I just thought it was a particular person as that would seem like the kind of plot twist that would be done. While the other bits of info back up that idea, based on the episode alone its nothing more than baseless speculation. _________________

I like the show but I'm really starting to not like the way that all the characters intertwine - it's not smart, it's contrived. I'll accept it for the fact that sometimes it makes for interesting twists, but in the last few episodes there's been way too many connections that defy coincidence - almost of eye-rolling quality.

^ haha, yeah i thought it was going to be him, or |Isaac | leading up to it was actually revealed to be.
it's funny, initially i wasn't too fussed about Peter's character, but right now he's the character i want to know more about. _________________

Just to throw something into the mix, regarding Peter's scar. If he was scarred sometime between now and the future, wouldn't that mean that he couldn't regenerate?

^ or simply wasn't able too.
Spoiler
if he were unconscious, or something. he seemed to think the powers he's mimic-ing occur when he concentrates on the person, so if he's unconscious, no powers.

Any second of screen time devoted to Nikki/Jessica is a ****ing waste of time IMO. I don't care how attractive she is, it's been 14 episodes and we haven't progressed beyond the "*cry* WTF is happening to me, I've got two personalities". The rest of the show is interesting, her character is not. She could be the mother of all the Heroes and the supreme ruler of the world, but that still wouldn't excuse the atrocious writing that has given such a huge amount of screentime to such a stagnant character. _________________

^ i agree. so far, i think Niki/Jessica is the weakest link of the whole series. Micah has potential, as does her husband (i forget his name), but i'm sick of her. and i don't find her all that attractive either, especially not when her face is all screwed up, emotional like.
in all honesty, i thought she (well, Jessica) was going to be a villain when it was revealed, but now i'm on the verge of not really caring.
unfortunately, we're about due for an episode focusing on her, with the others as peripherals. something so better happen with her. _________________

The eye candy is enough for me to like what's happening with her character, but then, I'm boring too.
I have to say though, the more I see Claire the more I fall for her... _________________

OK People i got great news for the Heroes Fans:
The best news from Grunberg is that the first season of Heroes will be out on DVD just a few weeks after the last episode airs this month. For each hour, cast, writers and directors have provided commentary. These have been viewable online at NBC Rewind. (All first-season episodes and commentaries are still available there.)
Smart move to get the DVD out as soon as possible. And those commentaries frequently contain info that fills in or explains confusing plot details. They also offer background on just how hard it is to make this complicated show week to week. You might say it's a heroic effort.

If this is true it could be out early June ohh yeah
I AM SHOCKED AND BLOODY EXCITED
what does everyone else think. Would this be the faster box set to come out after a show or what. I will be preordered this asap _________________

Lost Seasons 1 and 2 were released prior to the final of each respective series being aired.
Ditto for 24 Season 1.
Battlestar Galactica season 2 was released before the series was even halfway through.
The X-Files used to release VHS versions of their Series before they were finished, usually containing the first episode of 2 of the next season. they were notorious for cliff-hangering.
all in the US, though similar here too (BG S2 was released in it's entirety before the first episode aired here).
it's not so much to keep the plots fresh as relevant, but to cash in on hype.
i'll probably get the DVDs of this, but i don't know about on release. it really depends on pricing. _________________

I don't really mind about pricing really it's one of my all time favourite shows. I will most likely get the HD DVD version of it with the extra features imo. Can't wait _________________

oh, i'll get it eventually, but as a long-time collector of TV shows, i've noticed that the boxsets rarely stay at full price for longer than a month. so why bother paying $90 on day one, when 3-4 weeks later, it'll be $50?
if it comes with a bonus item (ie: like Deadwood came with shot-glasses, and hipflasks, The Sopranos came with moneyclips etc.), i might consider it.
if it launches cheap, i'll consider it.
if it were a series i'd think would be low interest, and therefore low stock, i'd consider it.
but $90 is a rip for a TV show that isn't going to be hard to find. _________________

Well I dunno about the rest of you, but last night's episode (Aussie) was absolutely fantastic. Sure it only focused on a few of the characters, but damn if it wasn't compelling viewing. Quite a few unexpected things happened too, so I'm definitely looking forward to the next few episodes now. Especially since I keep hearing praising comments from of you who download the damn thing.
Oh and young Hiro = win. _________________
