^True in a sense, but only applies when you've got a paper vs rock situation where paper(or water) in your case will, and should, totally annihilate rock and rock(fire) can do lil damage in return.
But in other cases where you have a neutral vs neutral, say.....i dunno.......fire vs electric, the battles are far more balanced.A good point but i feel that status enhancing moves and dual type pokemon are enough to counter this. _________________

^ Your loss dude. Remember you have online play now too, you are capable of battling people with much more full on teams, and thats where the strategy comes into it.
And Jibbro, I ordered from Play-Asia, it shipped on the 25th.

Yeah, I meant to outline that this happens in scissor vs paper moments.
I actually used to mixmatch types. If my enemy had Electric, I'll pull out Grass and a long winded battle full of status changing attacks and items would ensue.
Its an inherent problem in the foundations of the game. If they were to change it so elemental attacks still make for a long battle, then the consequence would be that you have to match up the elements every time, otherwise the battle will never be over.
Maybe my expectations are a bit high. I am comparing this to FFX which is an excellent example of a fair, tough, varied and enjoyable turnbased game. _________________

No. Not Australian release until the end of June (21st or something) so you'll only find it where they sell import DS games. The US release is what everyone is ordering. Online, GameTraders, or another local import shop only. _________________

I saw it in GameTraders. They said that everyone bought the Diamond edition but not the Peal. But I bought Scrubs and deposit on Halo 3 Legendary Edition. I may get it in due time. Is the battle system any different and do the Pokemon actually attack the enemy and move. _________________ XBOX Live Lord Halo Nerd1

Slightly different battle system if you play competitively but pretty much the same thing, and no.
Thumbs up to ppjim for the Chimchar and Turtwig too.
EDIT: Turtwig has Rock Climb and Solarbeam. Niiiiice. _________________

I must say i'm still pissed off at how nintendo forced trade only evolutions upon us again.
I could NEVER ever have an alakazam or victreebell etc on my team as they only evolve through trading with another user and damned if i could ever find someone on this crappy town with the game and was willing to trade.
Now it's worse, some poke's only evolve via trade while holding something.
I fukn hate it.No machamp, no alakazam, no victreebell, no gengar......all the frickin good ones. _________________

Um... overreaction? You can trade with ANYONE over the internet! It's the most simple method for trade evolution they've ever allowed in a Pokemon game. You don't need to know anyone in person. Just put a post in here and I (and probably everyone else) would be more than happy to evolve it for you. It only takes 1 minute and I've already done it with a few people. _________________

sliiiiight over reaction, ive got 60+ hours, and ive gotta tell you, ive had about 7 machamps, 3 gengars, and an alakazam or 2. its really easy, instead of looking for a machoke or kadabra, and dealing with all those people with their insane trades (like a machoke for dialga for example) if you put up a pokemon (lets say a floatzel) and say your looking for a machoke, i GARENTEE you'll get a trade in 20 mins.
oh and by the way, weepinbell evolves with a leaf stone, not trade so you can get a victreebell
although i agree with you with the trading with items thing, thats made it a bit hard, it took me a while to figure out how to get my scizor, but it was worth it _________________

Check the status of the order. Did they notify you it had shipped. Check what postage you were using. They usually courier it to your house.
If no one is home they will leave a note on the door to say that they came and no one was home, and that the courier will hold on to it. Possibly this has happened. Dvd Crave will be able to give you contact details of them.

The game has been out for 1 week. I don't think anyone would be selling it second hand...
You can get it for $50 Aus from any site, or try eBay for a second hand copy anyway.
