Hi,
Just got my 360 back yesterday from repair....all working fine except now the top left part of the ring of light now doesn't light up! All of the other 3 sections are working except that part... It's annoying...that was working fine before I sent it away... Anyone else had this problem???

Wow, that's kinda weird, I have the same problem.
Well, I guess it depends on how your 360 sits. Mine's Vertical, so it's the top right corner. If it was horizontal, it would be the top left. And same situation, sent it off for repair, and it came back that way.
I can't be assed doing anything about it, it has already been repaired twice and for something cosmetic like that i'm not going to send it away for a third time to have it come back with another potential problem. It's just a mild frustration for me.

That is not good enough man. I know what you mean about not sending it in, but that is just totally unacceptable. An expensive console, and the rings don't work?
You'd think they'd check before they send it back out to you.

yeah - took 2 weeks for mine to be fixed.
It is really annoying that they've done this to the console...think I might ring up to complain...probably will do no good but is worth a try 
It's annoying that you send it away to get fixed and it comes back with a totally new problem...maybe doesn't stop me from playing (not yet anyway) - but still crap!!

Geebus, how many people have to send their consoles in for repairs..? Seems a little ridiculous to me...
And what do the rings mean..?

The 3 rings stand for the 3 ring circus you have to go through to get your console repaired.
Dodgy, did you get an email from MS shortly after you posted your console in? Not sure if I should expect some sort of confirmation about it being received by them. Thanks.

Bluey, you do get a confirmation email, mine came about 2 or 3 days after i sent it in. I finally got my box back today after waiting just over 3 weeks. But they did give me a free 3 month gold subscription with my returned box, so that eased the pain a little... time to make a 4th GT!!

i sent my bro's console to be repaired just after Anzac Day, and got an email from xbox on the 28th saying they received it.
Then got an email timestamped 5am today saying they have shipped it back - rocked up to work at 930 to find it here waiting for me
Yet to plug it in and see if it works, or if ive got any problems such as described above....

Will be interested to hear how your 'new' console is going - any problems, or just sweet 360 sailing 
When I get mine back, I intend to play the crap out of it, just to make sure it is working fine

Well it appears to be working fine. I've only had the chance to play it for about 30 mins however. I realised after I had sent it away i forgot to take out my GoW disk, however the kind ppl at xbox were nice enough to send it back to me in working order! lol
