How did I see Goldmember, I hear you ask? Well it... *ahem* got dropped on my desk by a little birdy... that was on a metaphorical pirate's shoulder...
I'll refrain from spoiling the plot, but I have to tell you it was VERY thin. The recipe for Austin Powers 3 goes something like this: Rehash all the funny bits from the previous movies, Add in some extremely gross scenes and some unexpected twists, Throw in a few godawful puns and Voila! A new movie!
When the movie first started, this is the expression that was on my face:
When Goldmember was introduced, this was the expression on my face:
When Austin used the lamest puns in the history of bad puns, this was my expression:
But.... From start to finish, this was the constant expression on my face, regardless:
At one point in the movie, I had to pause it for fear of passing out. No joke. I was laughing hard from one joke, then another extremely funny thing happened, causing me to double over unable to breathe because I was still laughing from the previous joke, then another thing happened and then I paused it because I felt dizzy from all the laughing and lack of oxygen to my brain. I haven't ever laughed that hard in my life. At least you've all been forewarned.
Even though most of the gags are re-hashed with a twist, they were still extremely funny. When you see the spin they put on the 'shadow' gag, you'll be falling off your seat with laughter. I literally DID fall off my seat with laughter.
Well, you get the gist of it. It was a damn funny movie. Even though most of it wasn't entirely original, and it seemed very commercialised at first, I loved it. I give it 9/10.
BTW - The copy I had was on DVD, and it had strangely high quality picture and sound. It was widescreen too. (It's shot in 2.35:1) _________________

Which part was that??
Tell me on MSN if you don't want to spoil it for everyone else.
Was it the part in the flat/apartment??
I know that part sure made me feel like that
