Okay I love Dead Rising - anything with zombies gets me excited enough to wet myself - and sorta assumed there would be a sequel given the nature of the true ending in the first one, just wanted to hear some thoughts on it, where u want it to take place in, who the main protagonist will be, weapons, if you want something more from the gameplay, the name of the game - Dead Rising 2 or something a little more creative? - that sort of thing.
I for one hope that Frank stays as the main character. Here are my ideas of where the next game or any forthcoming titles in the series should be set:
Cruise Ship: I think this would be awesome, so many possibilities, and given the size of cruise ships, not to mention multiple floors, there are endless possibilities of how this could turn out.
Small Country Town: Has anyone seen "Children Of The Corn"? The empty deserted country town in that had a really good atmosphere and i can just imagine hundreds of zombies shuffling around outside of a boarded up barn or something.
Theme Park: Clowns! Clowns! Clowns!, i know many people are scared of clowns and altough i find them funny, the idea of a zombie clown sends shivers down my spine. It would have to be a big one like Disneyland or something as well. Imagine this, your running around a theme park bashing Zombies over the head with a piece of rollercoaster railing, or you are speeding down the pathway in a go cart all the while squashing zombies and sending them flying in the air.
In the gameplay department, theres only one thing i think Dead Rising needs more of: Ragdoll Physics
Anyway thats what i want from Dead Rising 2, what about you?

I say keep it to a shopping mall again, but have a much bigger one this time complete it up with real world shops (Wallmart anyone?) and throw in a better combat system (I personally thought it was a bit stiff in how you played) and you have a 10 out of 10 game right there.

Dead rising 2: Frankie goes to Hollywood?
Can't wait for the sequel, although they do need more weapons, actually everything should be able to be used.I always wished you could grab everything in Dead Rising like a clothes rack and the stuff on the shelves that you couldn't grab, hell jump and rip down a shop awning sign and use that to annihilate the masses.
Would be good to actually see it in the same area where he left the mall and into the city parts, that would rock!
Would be good to have some quasi flyable stuff too if it is out in the open like a glider going from building to building, or maybe a cropduster filled with lighter fluid?
Also it definitely needs the combat re-jiggered also as although it was useable it was way too clumsy especially with the double tap = roll feature.Usually i'll be zig zagging through the zombies and if i do it a little too quick it will roll which always frustrated me no end. _________________

Online co-op = instant win.
Dead Rising was one of the only games I have ever played through multiple times, I couldn't get enough of it. Even killing those 54,000+ zombies was fun. _________________

Online Co-Op will make it all the crazier. I can't wait for this one! Dead Rising alone made me want to get a 360, so I have high hopes indeed. _________________ Host on Australian gaming TV show Level 3

Zombies on a plane, that could be interesting, I can already see Samuel L playing a cameo:
"I have had enough of these MUTHAF@#$ING zombies on this MUTHAF@#$ING plane!"
Somehow I don't think that there would be enough room on the plane though.

Marka - You can probably pick it up cheap-ish from ebay, if not just keep an eye open, you'll be able to grab it cheap soon enough
on topic... this would be great, provided they don't fsck it up really badly ...
by the way, zombies on a plane wouldn't work, too small ... unless it was an opening scene, and the plane crashed and then you had to survive on an island with zombies... that would be entertaining... or a space station!! zombies in 0G!!! now how awesome would that be?

yea, but to even try to make it in a city you need to litter EVERYWHERE with some kind of vehicle, actually, thinking of it more - by the time you rework a city to be dead rising compatable, you're basically left with Grand Theft Auto: Zombie edition
