The majority of my friends that have played/own a PS3 all go on about the browser. Since they've gotten their PS3s, they havn't even used their computer anymore.
They've installed Vista and are loving it.
So do you think MS will do this on the 360? I think its definately the way to go.

I just run my PC through my TV, so console browsing doesn't interest me much
I'd rather they put their resources towards more dash/netplay functionality, and more XBLA titles. _________________

Given how terrible the PS3 and Wii web browsers are (and the Dreamcast before it!) there is no point as far as I'm concerned. A few of the bigger problems are the lack of mouse support, funky resolutions, slow browsing (the PS3 browser CRAWLS) and the fact that it doesn't 100% support all features the net uses.
I honestly would never use a console browser when I have a computer which does EVERYTHING better. There is not a single thing that a console browser does better than a PC. What about multi-tasking? You can't browse the net and do OTHER internet related features at the same time (chat, download, etc.). I know I'm not alone in this and I'm sure the novelty of being on the big TV with the internet will end after a few weeks when the realization that their computer is still much better hits them. _________________

I hope they don't, cause they'll just get the "Me too" critism.
The 360 has the ability to multitask and do the chat and browse thing, but probably not IM. Supposably there was going to be Windows Live Messenger integration so you'd appear online (busy) to your friends on that while playing on Live.

i'd think that would be a good idea, including msn chat or something so you can atleast chat with your friends on the net using computers while you play live (by while playing live, probably chat to them through mic's or whatever) _________________

Seriously a waste of time. The Wii has the best browser because of the Wiimote. Using it with a control pad is awful. M$ knows it's a waste of time and money. _________________ Shin J Leon.

And if your console has internet access, chances are probably 100% that you have a computer. And computers do it better. _________________
