After hearing the elite is going to be more expensive anyway, I'm sorely tempted by this offer. GoW, Crackdown, 2 VC games, DoA4 and PGR for $700. Is this the best offer around?
GoW and crackdown are two must-buys for me, so that's a plus. The minus would be not knowing when the Elite is coming out or how much it is yet.

The Elite is coming here in Winter I heard. But yes that's an awesome deal, I was considering buying the pack for someone but then I remembered I had no money

YES! Get it. I did. It's worth it 
I was just playing Crackdown with some random american guy with the XBOX LIVE gold trial, it was awesome!! I couldn't respond to his endless "Hello"'s because I have no mic! XD

If I didn't already have my 360 I know I would certainly be considering a purchase with this pack. All four games in this pack are worth it alone, so yeah it's one of the best deals I have seen for a console in a long time. I say definitely grab it.

It'd be worth it just for Gears and Crackdown. And it was, because I traded the other two in and got a Quick Charge kit. No more six hour charge for me.

that doesn't make sense.
The VGA is compatible with a whole heap of "HD" resolutions.

It comes with a component cable anyway.
Also, stores will not match this deal. If they did they would actually lose money, not earn it. JB Hi Fi and Microsoft have a deal with those games at the moment, specifically for this deal.

Big w might match it, we have a deal at the moment with a premium 360 gears of war, kameo & project gotham 3 for under $700 cant remember the exact price, depends if they want to make a sale.

Does anyone know if K-Mart would maybe match it? Cause if they do I know they have 3 month lay buys(So I'm guranteed to be able to pay it) and I can get a discount on it.

I'm not sure if Kmart or Big W (or EB for that matter) would price match on a special deal like this that JB has with Microsoft - and especially on something that they're offering a lay-by period on, I would've thought they'd revert to the RRP for that.
On the other hand, I've heard of some people scoring this deal from JB for $639, since that is what they're currently selling the GoW pack for. I've rung around, and none of the JB people seem to think that the deal is anything less than $699, though the letter is ambiguous. Has anyone else come across this?
$699 itself is a great deal, but $639 is a steal and would be an automatic buy for me I reckon.

I know that if something is on special at say K-Mart then they laybuy it at that price not the normal one and at Big W if you lay buy something at RRP and then a couple of weeks later they have it on special then they take the difference off your laybuy.

I'm gonna call my local K-Mart tomorrow and see if they would possibly match it for me. I still wouldn't mind if people that knew if they'd match it or not could tell me beforehand. I'm a bit of an introvert, even over the phone.
