1) Godhand had shoddy control.
2) That music was extremely generic.
3) The clipping in that game made me think the programmers were on drugs hard if they thought that was necessary.
I will give it this though, the quirkiness of it was a bit cool, but not redeeming on the overall aspect of the game.
oh and 4) bored me to tears in less than an hour.
I'm sure people will like it, I've just played better stuff in the beat 'em up category. |
Oh well, everyone has a different opinion, it would seem.
1.) I thought the controls were great.
2.) The God Hand soundtrack is some of my fav gaming music (DarkYoshii thinks similarly).
3) They needed the clips to break up all the fighting.
4) If you didn't even play it for an hour.. _________________

Yeah I guess everyone is different, but honestly you liked having to do 180 turns constantly with the L2 button....c'mon...
And by clipping I mean your inside a house running up the stairs and the camera turns and you can see outside through the wall...real bad form there.
I'll borrow it now off my mate and give it more a thorough workout to see if it improves... _________________

Ah, I see what you mean now!
Good man, I'm glad to hear that you're going to give it a shot. The Giant Enemy Crane bit is classic! I'm not sure what you mean by needing to do 180 turns with the L2 button, I got used to the camera pretty quickly. _________________

Considering the time I can't be farked replying to anything you have said so far, but yes I agree with you on Okami being awesome and I definitely think its soundtrack is one of the best I have heard in a long time.
But the reason of this post was purely to say welcome back, so yeah, welcome back. _________________

My God, how the hell did I miss this topic!? I can't believe it! Good to have you back man, there was a bit of drama when you got banned..
I'm looking at the 360 so far this year in a 'calm before the storm' style, with so many great games coming along, we have a bit of time to play catch up. Personally, I'm still playing Gears daily, trying to get all those damn ranked achievements..nearly done.
The PS3...give it time. As in, a couple of years. There is nothing impressive about it at the moment, sans Metal Gear Solid. I'll just wait for a 360 release.
Oh, and my 360 has an extremely loud fan noise on startup, for the first 5 minutes of running. Then it goes quiet...weird.

I heard you're the best at Gears at the mo....better than Frozencry? That's a feat!
Mine works great after sending it in.....not a single problem and stuff seems to load a smidge quicker. That sux yours is making that noise....hopefully it's nothing serious.
Are you getting a Ps3 Jimbo? Personally I think if there was 1 machine that is a must have this gen it would be the Ps3, but if you already got a 360 I wouldn't be too fussed. _________________

Nah not for a long while Ugh. I'm putting the cash towards getting a nice LCD instead, to get my 360 running n all its high-def glory. I am still in love with my tree-sitty man, despite all of its hiccups and noises.
Best at Gears? I don't reckon man. You should see me trying to get sniper kills! I'd say I've just 'improved'. I havn't played with the PALGN boys in a long while..

Thanks James.
Are you gonna be covering any of the PS3 midnight launches here in Syd? _________________

Yea i'm over those....the 360 one was a disappointment (except for the cheerleaders). Personally I don't think there is enough incentive to be going to the official launch....a free blu-ray movie is nothing on a free game....which was basically the reason I went to the official 360 one.
I think after all the disappointments PAL gamers have seen from Sony we really should be getting some proper consolation. _________________
