The problem is, that some TVs support 1080p only via HDMI 1.3 and then you have some really nice TVs that support it through HDMI 1.3 as well as Component. And manufacturers don't usually say they support 1080p via Component as it'll get killed when Blu-Ray has it's HDCP switched on.

^ I thought Harvery Norman would have charged more than that.
PS3 having a blu-ray player is the f***en bomb. That totally justifies the $1000 imo. _________________

Ohh yeah totally just the hardest thing is to wait till Friday. On the hdmi note i hope it's longer than 1 meter either way it's going to be good. I so need to get the offical hdmi cord only because i have bad luck with new stuff and they tend to brake hehe. I can't afford to have it break and my warranty go bye bye hehe Friday Yatta _________________

I went to EB today, I said what's the go with the HDMI cables. He said they are selling '3rd party' ones and doesn't know anything about 'Sony brand HDMI cables'. I don't think using 'non Sony' HDMI cables will void your warrenty. _________________ Shin J Leon.

Its in the statement of warranty.
I just want to know how the f*** they will prove it.
I suspect that the first thing they will ask is, "do you use Sony HDMI cables?" and when the unsuspecting kid says no, they tell him to get stuffed, causing the kid to cry and the kid's parent to buy him a game to make him feel better. _________________

^meh you got done.Though it's not a BAD price by any means, especially for an official one, they're brainwashing bs have certainly wrapped you up in a neat little package.
Now, time to head down to toyota to pick up genuine oil filters and oil, that are 5x times the price and simply repackaged ryco/castrol.YOU JUST GOTTA KEEP THE FEELING!! _________________

It's just a loop hole for Sony. Big evil rich companies always try to find ways to screw the little guy. I would be more concerned with protecting your PS3 from a surge and getting offically HDMI cables. I'd invest that extra money in that.
I'm getting a $50 cheapy one. Screw paying $90 for a Sony label. Nobody even knows if they are 'offical' ones in any case! I can't find any HDMI cable listed on any accessory listing on a Sony's/Playstation website.
In addition to that, all PS3s running into Australia ATM are not using offical 'Sony' ones. I know for a fact the JB ones are using monster HDMI cables. _________________ Shin J Leon.
