Damn that Geelong v Port game was weird. Fun to watch, though. _________________

didnt get to see it but i heard geelong just won at the end. that brisbane game was fantastic (well for me because they won). brisbane were running, going in hard and playing well i thought. they still have daniel bradshaw, chris jhonson, nigel lapping and jhonathan brown to come in but does anyone think that the team could get worse if they came in?

I don't think they'll get worse (unless they are brought in when they aren't fit) but I think the other teams are going to get a lot better - I mean the Eagles lost to Essendon by 56 points yesterday, there is no way that would happen in the actual season.
Yeah, Geelong won in extra time after Port wasted some easy opportunities at goal in extra time, including Chad Cornes hitting the post from about 15 metres out after getting a 50m penalty with about 30 seconds to go. It was extremely wet though, nobody could kick (or mark, or run, or... etc) very well though. _________________

yea well nigel lappin is unfit but when hes fit hes good so i cant wait for him to come back. and yea teams will get better but i still think the lions will make the finals this year and i no its early but its been good what we have seen from them. west coast lost because they didnt have judd, cousins, kerr, braun and other players.

How I have slipped... All the teams left were bottom 8 teams from last year, so hard to pick who will take it, though it's hard to looks past Geelong to go back to back.
Also another suggestion is to keep the overall score for the tipping updated in the first post of the thread rather than a new post, purely for ease of finding it once the season gets cracking. _________________

yea but remember, this is only the nab cup. you get nothing for winning.
the brisbane and geelong game i thought was a terrible one to watch, too many errors. i wonder if brisbane will play their strongest side for the grand final.

I know I don't win anything but at least I hopefully won't have the shame of coming last. *Looks at DIU and TheDoag* _________________

My favorite 2 teams in the final...what are the chances of that happening??
Anyway, Lions will hopefullly take it. They've had pritty bad luck with venues they have had to play at. _________________

I will be honest and say that I picked Carlton purely because I had no idea which other team was playing.
Wow the NAB Cup is so useless. _________________

Look how many teams could win the premiership:
WC
Freo
Adelaide
Sydney
St. Kilda
Bulldogs
Demons
Geelong
Brisbane will need to be damn good to crack that 8 and I'm so sure they will be ninth, but as a fan you can dream. _________________

I think the cats are overrated. I think WC or Sydney will one again be in the GF cause they are still far too strong. If one of those teams can't make it then its either Adelaide, Saints (if they dont get any major injuries) or the bulldogs will litterally run away with it. _________________

^WC does have a fair amount of controversy with the 'drug culture' there, which could possible take away from their on field.
Also, unfortunately this year Saints have looked too good with Ross in charge, round one will reveal a lot, but I wouldn't expect more than a low top 8 finish. _________________
