OMG, I saved $2! icon_eek.gif icon_lol.gif

I want a Wii charger stand, I must drop into Big W. Their PS3 games are great value, they'll be cleaned out fast.

im thinking of getting starcraft and warcraft 2, I loved that game! the WoW expansion with the bonus recharge card is also a really good eal, its a shame that I have already bought it. All I need now is an early release for metal slug anthology and I ll be happy as larry. Im off to kmart at lunchtime.

Does anyone know where I could get SSX Blur the cheapest? Would JB Hi Fi be selling it for $80?

Impressive, pay attention people! The third party games are especially good value (not so much the 1st party, Big W are the same).

Yeah but it seemed the titles I would imagine people would be likely to go for (Mario this and that, and the various online titles) were all gone, so it looks to me that it was more a case of rabid bargain hunters snapping up everything of value.

Problem is that there's about 3 or 4 Targets and Kmarts in a 20 minute radius from my house, but only one Big W.

Speaking of people snapping everything up, I was at Cash Converters a couple of days ago, and I see this oldish (probably about 60 years old) guy looking through the DVDs. He was holding a few of them up, and I decided to go over and have a look. He was holding a few Dragonball volumes (which they were selling for $10 each!), and I looked in the DVD container and saw that there was pretty much the whole set in there! Anyway, the guy was rifling through it all, and picking out all of the Dragonball DVDs. I reached in and grabbed out a couple (he already had about 8 in his arms, including a couple of DBZ movies), and was looking at them, thinking about buying them, until I realised I already those two. He gestured for me to hand them over, so I did, and he said that he was a DB/Z fanatic and he wanted them for his collection. I was pretty surprised (as were the staff), but he grabbed the lot, everything with the word Dragonball on it that they had, and took them to the counter and bought them. Must have cost him about $100 for the lot.

Anyway, that's my story. icon_smile.gif

If you don't have a HDTV and you are getting a PS3, Wow Sight and Sound also have a deal with a PS3 and a 40" X Series Sony Bravia LCD TV for $5499. Looking at the price of the TV seperately its a saving of about $300.

That second bundle costs $100 more than the first, while the only difference is Resistance. And they're selling that for $88 icon_confused.gif icon_confused.gif

Yea ... I kinda noticed that aswell .... at this stage, aren't the best deals likely to come from either haggling or shopping around at multiple places anyway?

I was going to pick up either Wright or Mana from big W, but I ended up spending $60 on pawn broker runs the day before...(Puyo Pop Fever, Tales of Eternia and REmake, in case anyone was wondering icon_razz.gif)

Myer/Grace Bros.

Wii:

Wii console: $399
Nunchuck controller: $29
Classic controller: $27
Wii Play: $74

These are sale prices? They look pretty close to RRP prices...

And on another note, does anybody have the Wii remote charger stand? How does it work if you've got the silicon covers on?

Super Princess Peach: $44.93
Star Fox Command: $44.93
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: $44.93
Children of Mana: $44.93
Yoshi’s Island DS: $44.93
Spyro: Shadow Legacy: $29.98
The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning: $37.78

Only two things stop me from spending FAR TOO MUCH money on DS this week. 1) the nearest Big-W is over an hours drive away, so two hours of fuel would negate the savings over ebay. 2) I am currently in "mild panic" mode trying to pick up older X-Box and NGC games before they become too hard to find. 3) with the PS3 now available, I am hoping M$ will do something better than that rather lukewarm Gears of War pack, and want to save as much money as I can in case that happens.

oh. three things. [/end bad MPFC reference]

Yeah, it seems like a way of making a little extra cash for people who don't like to do their research. Smart thing to do would be getting the first bundle and buy Resistance separately with it. With a saving of about $12. Not something that would really piss me off, but if it's not too much bother or effort, why not? icon_smile.gif
