I have to agree when it comes to last night's episode not having anything too spectacular, but it continued the various plots along nicely and as such was still a decent episode. Was nice to see someone other than Issac do a painting, and without getting high too. Does that pose a question, or was it just random? (and for the record this question is rhetoric so don't answer it...)
I must admit, despite the two awesome cliffhangers that episodes 2 and 4 had, I was still unsure whether this show would become on par with others for me, but if it keeps heading in the direction it has been heading in so far well then it will reach that peak and hopefully stay there too. So far, so good. _________________

^ I think having someone else painting totally ruins Isaac's character now (unless there's something more to him to be revealed, but if there is, STFU Admeister). I mean before he was the one who appeared as if he could provide direction to the Heroes by predicting the future. But now we know someone else can do it, as well as fly, and he doesn't have to get high to do it. Isaac just got owned. _________________

I'm pretty sure Isaac's character wont be runied, as I'm fairly sure the idea with whats-his-name's character (I am terrible with names, but you know, the doctor) is that...

Similarly, he doesn't appear to show an ability to stop time, but can move around when it is stopped by future Hiro (admittedly that's not quite the same as 'copying' Hiro's power, but its the same line of thought.
Therefore he can draw the future when around Isaac (both the painting in Wednesday's episode and how he drew the stick figure of himself while in hospital after meeting Isaac (back in Ep 2 or 3, I think), but as soon as he's gone, it will have to be Isaac that does the painting. |
At least that's how it looks to me (you be quiet, Admeister). Thoughts? _________________

About Pete's power... stay away from IGN and their latest poll. The bastards give it away. I happened to read it by accident I hate that site.
Anyway, I liked this weeks episode. I thought it was pretty cool how the characters are slowly starting to meet up with each other. Also seeing the politician dude flying was pretty awesome, as was his meeting with Hiro. _________________

On par with BG in my eyes.

Only just watched the episode this afternoon, it was great. Lots of hidden humour for those who know what it is. Much better than most of those TV series on at the moment.

The Indian dude doesn't have a power though, does he? I mean, he is the one who is supposed to guide (for lack of a better term I guess) those with the powers because of all the research that his father had done and stuff, right? So therefore Peter or whatever his name is, had nothing to well, what was alluded to in the speculation as a result.
And for the record my post isn't in spoiler tags because it isn't speculation, or at least, I don't think it is.
Anyway, I agree with what has been suggested so far speculation wise. It seems to be the most logical reason to explain some of the things that Peter has done. What makes it even more interesting though is how it will apply (if it's true that is) to the other 'Heroes' that he hasn't come across yet, such as Nikki (Ali Larter is like my goddess or something now by the way) and the cheerleader. _________________

yeah, it's probably fine, but i would rather err on the side of caution.
i usually record the show and watch it on the weekend, for example, and i would've been annoyed to know that before the fact. _________________

Man you guys are in for a treat, not to spoil anything but where there up to in the US at the moment is amazing. There are some big revelations along with some awesome 'showdowns'. And there starting to get celebs for cameos too - Stan Lee was on a couple of episodes ago.
I heard a rumor there planning a totally new cast for the next season with a completely different story line? Judging by where there up to in the US im doubting it but do you think it would work if they had a completely different story line each season? _________________

FFS, spoiler tags! I hadn't seen that ad on 7 for next week, I just watched the episode and the episode alone. Now about 3 of you have gone and spoiled the question of whether Nikki was really down and out. Thanks _________________

Ban the fucker! FFS you really are an idiot kid.
Obs, I think if you haven't seen the most recent ep to air here than you should just avoid this thread, we shouldn't have to put spoiler tags up for what we have been able to legally view. Just my thought.
Anyway, the show is really developing nicely with so many questions to be answered and not by you, Taco boy. _________________

One of the weaker episodes so far imo. I think it concentrated too much on the one story thread (that of Nikki), as opposed to following the others around. I know Hiro's thread got a bit of airtime, but even that was of him feeling sorry for himself, not all that entertaining. And yeah, the cheerleader's real parents thing, but I saw that resolution coming a mile away so again, nothing too fancy. Suresh's buddy thing sure threw me for a loop though.
I wanted to see more of the other stories told. The Petrelli thread is by far the most interesting of the lot and that was barely touched on in this episode, plus what happened to the mind reader? Is he still just lying on the floor of a service station or what?
Hmm, that was a pretty negative post. I still think this is one the best new shows on air at the moment. Nothing is going to stop me from staying tuned. _________________

First and foremost, DAMN YOU CHANNEL 7 for putting the goddamn Lotto results on the screen while Hiro was talking in Japanese and therefore covering something that he said! Of all fracking times to do it, they do it when we need to read the subtitles because we can't understand Japanese. FFS!
Now that that's out of the way, onto the episode. I agree with Capoeira above me in that the episode wasn't as ground-breaking as previous ones, but there was definitely still some moments. I must admit I wasn't expecting the short haired girl to be working for the cheerleader's father, although in hindsight it doesn't surprise me. The real parents thing was predictable and I'm surprised it took them that long to show it, actually.
Best thing about this latest episode though? Ali Larter eyecandy in the bucketloads!

You'd better get used to it, most of the series is like that (with a lot of the episodes focusing mostly on one character).
| Quote: | | what happened to the mind reader? Is he still just lying on the floor of a service station or what? |
Don't worry, you'll find out about him very soon. I actually found his thread to be one of the more interesting ones for a while (aside from Nikki, that is). She's quite a mystery. _________________
