I'm thinking of selling my 360, I've had fun with it but I dont know its getting kinda boring. The only thing I do is play live, but anyway I was thinking I gotta so and so a year just for that, I dont see any point. I'm using the DS to play with some of friends, sure it suck but it works. Anyway long story short, I still gotta doubts on selling but so anyones opinion? Anyway I was thinking of getting a wii, if the price comes down.

It all depends on whether there's anything in it for you. Are there any titles in the near future (or currently available) that you are anxiously awaiting? If the answer to this is yes then you might want to hold off a little bit and wait for your anticipations to be resolved. If you answered no, then there isn't really much point in keeping the system, if you can't seem to get anything out of it I'd say it's a waste of money and better spent on something else. In terms of buying a Wii, if you have a friend with one maybe you could play it at their house for a bit and see if you find a few games worth playing. If you can't get much enjoyment out of the console you already have, you'd be better off doing a bit of research before taking the plunge on another one. The worst thing you could do is make a switch that you will later regret (especially seeing as it'll be easy to buy a Wii after selling a 360 pricewise, however the other way would be a bit more difficult).

Anyway, this is really a decision you need to make yourself, in terms of gaming everything is subjective, one man's trash is another man's treasure so to speak. So yeah, weigh up the titles of both systems (available and coming soon) and go for whatever has what you believe to be more engrossing to you.

Heheh, awesome, I'm selling my Wii tomorrow for a 360...

Like Sin (probably) said, you've got to decide which console has the most appealing set of games on the release list. Basic rule really, and the most important. icon_smile.gif

I'd call that a good trade. At this point in time anyway. The only thing that is keeping me from selling my Wii is the promise of future titles. I'd rather not sell it at a loss now, only to have to buy it again once the titles I actually want start coming out. Surely there are some games on the horizon that you will want to play.

I wouldn't even think of selling my Xbox 360. The games that are out for it are fantastic, and the games that the future will bring will only bolster the quality of the library. I'd give you the same advice; there are going to be games to look forward to in the near future. I don't know how many of them will have worthwhile Live elements, but surely you must like a good single player campaign too? I could list them out for you but you must know what they are by now.

The problem is, the price won't come down anytime soon, and the Wii is seriously devoid of games worth purchasing at the moment, so it's not the best alternative at this point in time. Same deal as Lahiru, I don't want to sell my Wii right now as I'll rebuy it at a loss when there's a larger library of games available. I imagine with a 360, you'd face a similar problem.

Like what's already been stated, check out the upcoming games for the 360 and Wii respectively. Your decision should be too hard to make from that.

It will be your loss.

The 360 is firing on all cyliners imo atm(abbr. ftw?) and has some killer games out right now and more killer games on the horizon. It really limped along for a few months after release but now it has made it mark on the gaming scene and is easily here to stay. The next dreamcast the 360 will not be.

Frankly, if your at all into gaming you need a 360 or a ps3, and then a wii as the alternative, the side dish, the 'gin in your martini'.The 360 has won me over with it extensive library of, more often then not, quality titles.

to me, if you are asking for people's thoughts on selling, then you have major doubts about the merits of selling, and therefore shouldn't.

chances are you'll regret it more than not selling would.

Sell it to me.

The important thing to do would be to have a look at what titles you want that are coming soon that you want. Still, like Obs said, if you are doubting theres a good chance you'll regret the choice if you sell it, but hell if you've got one and you want a Wii you'll probably regret keeping it a little too.

Don't sell your 360 man. You'll barely touch your Wii...your 360 will hold your interest for so much longer. 360 has a large library of quality titles now, and how can you complain about mainly playing on Live?

Sell it and you'll miss it..

I also want to sell my Wii - but have no plans of buying another one in the future.

Playing on it gets no complains, but paying for it will. I'm still looking forward to resident evil, blue dragon hopefully Silent hill 5 if it comes out. But nothing has got my interest, its like playing Dead rising I like it but no emotion towards it.

Good replies by the way.

Maybe you havn't found your niche yet? What games have you played, do you own?

Paying for what? Live? $100 a year? I know Sony's online service is free and all, but Live is so good that I don't mind paying anually.

With the amount of amazing upcoming titles this year, it would be a bad time to sell.

Here is a tip, get Vista, a wireless network and a 360 wireless adaptor. Stream videos to your entertainment room wirlessly. Truely a golden experience and you will never go back.

Well I own dead rising, lost planet, Gears of war, Fear, Dead or Alive 4, Sonic the hedgehog, Enchanment Arms.

I mostly play games for the story part aspect, I'm hoping Silent hill 5 comes out soon (this year!), then I'll be hooked for the next couple of week.

I dont know about paying for something thats usually free. I still get problems playing on it, and paying money for it dont seems right. I get PS3 and Wii have issues on online gaming but its kinda free, would nice if there's was choice.

True, but the only thing I'm worried about is price cut, so far if I sold it I can get the value of my consoles and plus some profit.

This year I dont think has many good titles, though. I could be wrong.

I already have media centre on XP, I use an ethernet cable to stream, but you can also use media player 11. There's also homebrew software I heard, that streams a lot of video format, I dont remember name though.

The 360 is right now and in the foreseeable future, the best console out so I wouldn't sell it.

Ellegarden, list some of your fave games cause I'm pretty sure whatever they are microsoft has it covered.

Out of the games you own, I only rate GoW highly. I havn't had much time with Fear, and I hated Dead Rising and Lost Planet ('cause I sucked at them)

To honestly say there are no good titles coming out this year...you have no idea..

Halo 3, Stranglehold, Crackdown, Mass Effect, Star Wars, Forza 2, Bioshock, GTA, Banjo Kazooie, GRAW2, UT3, Blue Dragon, etc..

^ WHAT!! Burnout Revenge was the bomb on the 360!!! Loved it!

Anyhoo -

There a few plugin ins for Divx support. I got one from Xploder, which cost around $40. I couldn't get the free one (ummm, can't remember the name, just do a google search for 360 divx streaming) to work.

This year for the 360, we have

- Mass Effect
- BioShock
- Halo 3
- Virtua Fighter 5
- Too Human
- ShadowRun
- Forza
- GRAW 2
- Blue Dragon

Plus others that might make it this year like Fable 2, Allan Wake, RE5, Banjo etc.

if you're holding out for Silent Hill 5, then i'd personally hold onto the XBox 360.

check out previews for Alan Wake, Mass Effect and Bioshock, they look to be right up your alley. especially Alan Wake.

and if story gaming is your thing (and those 3 should provide a lot of that) then i really don't think i can recommend the Wii to replace the XBox 360. there's really only 1 title for it that falls into this category right now, Zelda.

as much as i love my Wii, i'm also a fan of Silent Hill-esque style gaming, and unless you go back to Gamecube titles (like Eternal Darkness) you aren't going to find that on the Wii just yet.

My biggest disappointment has been the Capcom games, but that is all my own fault.

And Leon, I forgot about VF5, Too Human and Shadowrun.

Honestly Elle, if you sell your 360 and buy a Wii you will be sorely disappointed. It think a Wii is best purchased later in the year, after a price drop and once SSB and Metroid are out (and if it makes this year, Mario)

Holding now. icon_wink.gif

Nah man I want to get rid of it. I havn't touched it in months. Throughout the whole summer holidays it probably got used 5-6 times, and that was at the start.

The problem is, for every Wii game I want, there's a 360 game I want so much more. I don't have the funds to support Wii gaming. Not that there is anything I want at the moment, but when I do..

Ah well, if you sell it, you will regret it when Mario, Metriod, Smash Bro etc get released. It's worth holding on to for the VC alone.

Plus if you have a DS, I think cool things are coming.

Live = $80 per year, divided by 365 = 21.9 cents per day.

Im pretty sure I get my 21 cents worth each day icon_wink.gif

My Wii has hardly been touched ( I haven't even gone through the first set of batteries ) Im just waiting for the Mario titles to start rolling in. If money is an issue, maybe you should keep your 360 and start saving.... by the time you have enough for the Wii there will be alot more titles to choose from. icon_smile.gif

Burnout has seen more usage in my 360 than any other game. As far as a port goes, this is one of the best ones I've seen. Much crisper graphics, smooth framerate, and the Online mode kicks some serious arse.

It probably helps that I haven't the same game on previous generation consoles.
