now this thread probably wont lift off until the season does but im bored ok. this is obviously where we talk about the AFL 2007 season.
its been a pretty interesting offseason and its been hard to tell who is gonna dominate and who will be destroyed (except west coast, we all know they are going to be the hard team to beat this year).
brisbane had a great draft year but also lost 2 of their great players in mal michael (essendon) and jason akermanis (western bulldogs) while young player rhan hooper just walked out on them. fremantle are going to be a big team this year IMO. the awsome team they already had has now got chris tarrant and dean soloman while getting rid of paul medhurst. sydney also looking good again this year with peter everit joining their team but i still think barry hall is very overrated while i think that st. kilda are an underrated side as well as richmond, i think theyll come out big this year. and carlton! we just dont know.
yea i know ive missed alot of stuff so you guys can bring it up. by the way, is there any chance of making a PALGN tipping contest? whoever wins gets $poons donated by me. and has anyone heard about the 2007 dream team comp? i love it but havent heard about another on yet.
EDIT: if people do decide to vote yes for this tipping contest, any suggestions on how to do this?
EDIT: sorry, the last time i edited my post it got rid of the poll and i forgot to put it back in. the poll is up and running again

I'll be in it if I don't have to do anything involved in organising it. I've been in charge of some irl before and they stopped about halfway through the season (because I was losing) _________________

I'm all for a tipping competition and am willing to help organise it if necessary.

A tipping contest would be very cool indeed.
$poons on the line boys.

well i actually think id be easy to organise. you tip a team and i keep a record of the points after each round and total them up at the end of the year and whoever wins im willing to give all my $poons away! as i have not used and plan on using my $poons.
another question, did you want to be different and start the tipping contest first round of the NAB cup? or just wait for round 1 and use the NAB cup to see which team is performing well for the main season (which doesnt always happen as i can recall carlton winning it not long ago and then coming dead last that year).
i will also introduce some of you guys into a what i think is quite fun game (most of you guys probably know what this is):
http://afl10.virtualsports.com.au/
you make up your own private league which if you have read through page you would have found what it is. if we get enough people to sign up with this (if there is actually going to be a 2007 comp which is highly likely that there is). then we could make up our own league.

I'll join the Dream Team league if my mates aren't having a league this year. Don't know at this point. _________________

A tipping competition is a solid idea and i would definetly be a part of it.
Hopefully, tipping the crows for every game this year will hold me in good stead like it has the last few seasons. _________________

Whoopsy.... I hadn't noticed the question in your post but I'll definitely be up for tipping from the NAB cup.
I was at the Richmond family day today. Went with $20, came back with a t-shirt, a poster and a bunch of autographs. Whoooooooooooooooo~!!!!! _________________

Perhaps we should PM Matt our tips? Would make the thread a hell of a lot spammy. I'll start the trend now. _________________
