I like Halo/Halo 2's voice acting but I wouldn't say it was the best.

True, I noticed that too. Not that it bothered me, I liked all of the voices in FFX and X-2. Auron was awesome. _________________

Shadow of the Colossus had awesome voice acting (I'm serious, although it was a totally different language it sounded freaking good).

Eternal Darkness (probably #1 on the list)
Planescape: Torment
Killer7
Knights of the Old Republic
F.E.A.R. (nothing extraordinary but it all gels together, it just feels right)
Wind Waker (HEY LISTEN!)

Agreed. When Starkweather's pleased with you executions - "You're piling up the corpses like it was JUDGEMENT DAY!" and when you you're not stealthy enough - "You're at it again! Chase me, chase me! Just like a teenage girl.". And just recently I've been very impressed with Gun and the voice work of Ron Perlman - Hellboy (Hellboy), Lance Henriksen - everyone knows that raspy voice (PS3 B3yond commercials), Kris Kristofferson - Whistler (Blade), and Thomas Jane - The Punisher (The Punisher). _________________

Eternal Darkness has some great VA, as has the MGS series. top marks for suggesting those.
Chronicles of Riddick: EFBB is damn good, for obvious reasons.
Half-Life 2 (and Ep 1) - not just for the acting, but the lip-syncing too.
StarCraft and Warcraft 2 and Warcraft 3 have great VA too. (i don't really remember the Diablos right now, but i'm assuming they were good). _________________

For me it would have to be Michael Ironside as Sam Fisher. I've enjoyed his voice work throughout the games and hope he continues to voice Sam.

LucasArts' adventure games always had top notch voice acting when it was included. Grim Fandango being the highlight, and Dominic Armato was pretty much the perfect Guybrush Threepwood.
Also, Beyond Good and Evil. Excellent work. _________________

Oh yes of course how could I forget Dominic Armato!
If they were to do a Monkey Island film, I think the best option would be to make it animated. Of course there'd only be one man suitable for the job of voicing him

I'm shocked it took so long for someone to mention Michael Ironside's work as Sam Fisher. The games just wouldn't be the same without him and the great job he dose of delivering Sam's dry sense of humor.
Most of the other great voice work has already been mentioned here, MGS series, Gears of War, Eternal Darkness and Riddick. I also think the Prince of Persia games deserve a shout out too. The prince's voice actor in sands of time was top notch. Even the different actor for the second game did a good job when he wasn't spitting out lines filled with generic rage. And then you got the two thrones which bought both back as each side of the prince. Listening to the prince talk to himself in the 1st and 3rd games is fantastic and really adds to the feel that your all alone in your battle. And all this was backed up by a solid support cast. _________________
