It's one of those days again upon which it is absolutely mandatory that everyone gets drunk. So what are you all getting up to tonight?
I'm heading down to a mate's place kind of close to the northern edge of the harbour, so we'll start off there then head to the park up the road or wander down to the harbour (about a half hour walk) and watch it all from there. We've done this the last each year for the last 4 years, except for last year, so we're quite experienced in which parts of his garden are best for spewing.
Does anyone here have exciting plans for the big night? Regardless of what you get up to, I hope you all have a great New Year's Eve. _________________

Stay at home watch fireworks on TV. Drink coke. Play 360 and Wii. I hate going to the city for the fireworks...No one I know lives there and when I went...And just watched from down near the water and at the streets..FAR TOO MANY DRUNKS AND DRUGGIES AND SMASHED BOTTLES. I hate it and the people get way too crazy and theres too much litter and not enough police. So i'm never going again unless we get a house near the bridge or someone else moves there...its horrible. IMO New Years is overrated.

Haven't got much planned, I'll probably order in a pizza and watch some films. Although if it's anything like last night, I'll end up playing Zelda for 2 and a half hours before realising that I haven't had anything to eat since lunchtime.

I had an awesome New Years Eve actually. Not because it was NYE, but because it rained pretty much the whole evening. Something that is quite rare here in Canberra. It wasn't pissy rain either, it was really good rain and all I can say is that it is about time. We also had a sweet arse storm at about 7pm or thereabouts so that was cool.
As for NYE, we didn't do much. The girlfriend and I went for a drive into town to see what was happening at about 9pm, but there was just a small fireworks display that was nothing too fantastic so we came back home. Spent the rest of the night playing games like I usually do, although I also (naturally) spent some time with her too...
So yeah, it was reasonably good. Made even better thanks to the rain. Oh and Happy New Year to everyone here. I hope 2007 is a rocking year for the lot of you. Gaming wise, it certainly looks like it will be one of the best so bring it the hell on! _________________

I went down to a party at the beach. Nothing to special.
Every year when there is five minutes to go, I always start yelling a countdown - 10, 9, 8. People start scrawling around looking at clocks, some are too drunk to notice - get down to 3, 2, 1, five minutes to go!
Then when the real countdown occurs they go 10, 9... I start from 5. It's good fun. _________________

Random Hugs, Congo Lines, so many random embraces last night was really awesome. So tired though - we went off clubbing afterwards and were dancing for ages and we didnt end up getting back till 5.
Got a few hours shut eye though. The fireworks were good. The 9 oclock ones were actually not to bad but the 12 ones were amazing - Ive got it all video taped from my phone so ill give the links soon. _________________

I headed out at about 7:30pm, good party. I got pretty rolled at about 11 o'clock. Went with two other girls to a park, after which I remember seeing the fireworks in the distance. Cheering in the New Year and trying to take a photo of some water.
After which I don't remember anything, though I did wake up in the park with one of the girls and another friend of mine. I came home with them at about 6am. Made some pancakes and now we're all here trying to make sense of last night.
Apparently the other girl was sober so I'm asking her what happened when I get around to calling her. Methinks it was a good night for me

I was dead on my feet when I got back home last night (or would that be this morning?) I'm pretty proud of the fact that I didn't have a single drink last night, contrary to previous years. Just before the fireworks went off everyone in our group had to shout out a new years resolution, and mine was to give up the drink. Here's hoping I can keep that promise... some crazy sh!t can happen when you're drunk, and not all of it is good.
Still, last night was a blast. Lot's of well wishing, hugs, hand shaking, dancing in the streets all with total strangers! The trip home was a bitch though...
Happy New Year everyone! Have a good one. _________________

I still havn't slept!
Nismo, I like the 'naturally' part!
Had a hotel room in town last night with a few mates and generally walked around town last night. Was too tight to go into any clubs ($45 entry) and the highlight of the night was seeing two girls hooking up right in front of my face.
Got some quality video there!
I guess everyone's still asleep?
