^ Appreciate that. Can you give me some impressions on the game itself? I think I want to download it but I just need a little nudge...

yeah, Bonk's was one i was considering getting too.

i probably should've actually, i've played Golden Axe to death in previous incarnations, so something newer (to me, i mean) would've probably made more sense.

I've never played Bonk's Adventure, but Bonk cameos (along with various other Hudson heros: Higgins, Honey, Manjimaru, Kabuki etc) as a playable character in Saturn Bomberman's stunning multiplayer mode. I've been curious about the character since then.

Yeah, get Bonk, it's great. Think of it as somewhere between a great NES and SNES platformer. It's solid, colourful, and full of personality and humour.

I have Bonk 3 on the actual PC Engine CD (well, it's actually PC Denshin 3, the japanese version), and always meant to get Bonk 1, but tis was much cheaper, and works on my new toy!

I havent read the entire thread, so im sorry if this Q already have been asked:

How come don't we aussie's have the turbografx games when everybody else with an PAL machine have (or, atleast my fellow danish friends have them). Atleast I can't find them, hehe.

And.. am I the only one who got troubles connecting to the VC interface? It just says: 'Connecting. Please wait...' forever. Until I restart the system and tries again, then it works.. kinda anoying.

I just hope Nintendo don't clamp down on people accessing content for other territories... Or if they do, that it at least coincides with us getting better VC support.

It's still Thursday in the UK. You'll have to wait until tomorrow unless NAL puts up the stuff locallly today.

WiiShop Channel is now updated...was wondering why i couldnt log on before.

The New Additions Are:

Gunstar Heroes
Pinball
Urban Champion
Dr Robotniks Mean Bean Machine
Columns
Ristar
Solomons Key

So it is safe to say we follow the UK release, but get it the day earlier (pretty much like launch)

^ yeah - i bought 3000 points from the Aussie Wii-Store, changed to UK and bought Bomberman '93, changed back to Au and bought Golden Axe, all works sweet.

however - a mate of mine said that the book says that points will be reset with country changes, so there is a possibility that we might get shafted in the future, if they implement some change. (in which case, i'll leave mine on UK permanently.)

(i haven't read this myself, so can't confirm if this passage is even in the book.)

Your wii points carry over. European and NZ users should purchase AU wii points, they're cheaper per unit.

I might dl Gunstar Herosafter my Work Xmas party today, then again I might pass out in a pool of my own vomit.

Yeah i have changed from Aus to UK around three times and i havent lost any points. I have 1000 points left and im stuck on whether to get Sonic or Gunstar Heroes.

I should just go and buy another 2000 points which will get me both Gunstar and Sonic, as well as Donkey Kong County and Legend of Zelda and i will still get 100 points change.

I never owned a megadrive (i had a master system, nes and super nes)...so would people rate gunstar? (i am a huge fan of metal slug games by the way).

^ I've swapped quite a few times and haven't lost anything either.

New Titles are great. I think I'll be downloading Gunstar tonight!

Gunstar is an awesome debut from Treasure, its even more stunning with 2 players as the two protagonists can interact, throw eachother around... this becomes especially fun when you have to play a boardgame together - snatching the other person's rolled dice etc.

Weapons are varied and can be combined for new firepower and you'll need it, its finger to the firebutton all the way through enemy strewn levels and Treasure's signature boss after Boss after BOSS fights. Back in the day the sprite scaling and rotation used was unheard of on the megadrive, so take a moment to revel in the spectacle that was with eyes unjaded by modern effects.

A classic.

I found columns to be pretty crap when it was a pack in for the megadrive, the colour matching isn't so satisfying... The puzzler I can only dream about is Baku Baku Animal: bright cute and surreal it remains my puzzle favourite. Bringing to fruition a carefully stacked chain reaction is incredibly fun, especially as you can dump a whole screen of blocks on your hapless compeditor. Come on SEGA
