Regarding religion: The thing I hate about it is that people make completely irrational decisions based on it and force these irrational views on others. Eg. The mother of one of my friends won't even let her daughter attach a cute snake-shaped keyring to her pencil case because somehow snakes=satan.
I'm sorry if I offended anyone in my previous post. Most of my friends are religious (heck, two of them are the co-chapel leaders at school) and that's fine. It just bothers me when one of them (who is Christian) talks about Hindus being satanists and makes other such comments.
For once we agree, Jibbs Wow I can't believe I made it into your list. What an honour..... _________________

yeah, religion is fine by me, they can have their beliefs, I don't think they are wrong for this. BUT it nark's me when they force others to engage in their religion, or even encourage it. Keep to yourselves, religious ppls.

1. people who pee with the door open, no idea why just makes me want to hurl
2. stereotyping, if you are so focused on labelling a person you are missing out of the true essence of who they are.

Pet hates:
1 - I HATE the fact that the doll bludging drunk "insert your favourite group here" im my town keep asking me for enough money "to get home" when im out the front of a bar or a bottle shop (i would gladlt drive them home myself if they werent: (A) - drunk already and (B) - lying to me ... yeah i know what they do with my money
2 - the fact that there are ANY legitimate citerzens of australia who are homeless for extended periods of time - come on! we have the best social welfare system in the world.
3 - i HATE spilling juice or softdrink on myself - it makes you all sticky in a way that requires a shower
ok im gonna break the rules here:
4 - americans telling me that their country is better than ours...... when we have a better postal, telecommunication, social welfare, employee protection, health and education system than them.
Religious groups need to interact with society for recruitment purposes.
Face it, we all get more attempts at shoving membership, committments, offers, deals, news, etc from _other_ sources like - television advertisements, newspaper advertisements, door knock appeals, door to door salesmen, kids selling candybars door to door, people offering to wash your windows at the lights, raffel ticket sales booths in the stans "even for a good cause" and the list goes on.
The REAL reason we identify force feeding with religous groups are because they make us more uncomfortable - not intentionally, but purely because of the subject matter.
Its kind of like how you dont think twice of closing the door on that salesman, but you feel bad walking past a charity booth and hope they dont talk to you (we all do this sometimes - admin it ).

Hear here!
Thing's I hate
1. Spam
2. Pomies : D
3. Nursing homes
Spam, well it's obvious why it can be annoying.
Pomies because they actually belive they have a better cricket team.
Nursing homes, because the majority of people who work in one are mentally challenged. Unfortunately my grandmother is in one, she requires an amount of care that our family couldn't deliver, so the only option was to move into a nursing home. The average smo who works at this particular home has the common sense of a door stop. The service is terrible. One would think that appropriate training and education would seem adequate to ensure that a certain amount of care would be available. It's terrible ! _________________ 'They scream a lot, but I like it'

It's amazing how often that word is bantered about.
A real democracy is when all the parties that represent their policies(eg legalising drugs/prostitution/organic food etc) all have a vote on what is the good for the nation.
As it is, all there is, is 2 big parties and a few minor ones that will never get a chance in hell.
Australia is definitely not a true democracy.
Also state governments are a joke. The government should handle everything and not have state run government just so when sh!t happens they can lay the blame on the states and not on the actual government.
Is a real good way to get sh!t lost in the system and have nobody hear your complaint or concerns.
Australia is a capitalist system run by companies and foreign investment.
Democracy! don't make me laugh.

I think your "true democracy" definition is a bit unrealistic. A true democracy would have a well-informed public voting on, and contributing to, all acts of parliament. Would you like to go to the polls a few times a week? Australian Democracy is one of the best models for democracy that is actually workable, compulsory voting means everyone will vote on representatives and big ticket issues.

On-topic, here's a pet hate:
People who buy beautiful high-end stuff and then leave all the ugly stickers on. The number of times I've seen people who have left the plastic film on their laptop screens makes me scream inside. _________________ Playing: 30sec Hero, Scribblenauts, Dungeon Crawl

Ooooh, pet hate #4 - Stickers on products I buy.
I hate DVDs, CDs, electronics, etc with freaking stickers plastered all over them, I don't care if the thing is half price don't chuck an enormous round sticker on the front of it and then sell it to me. I don't want to have to go home and peel off 3 or 4 stickers from my product, especially crappy stickers that leave residue left over, that gives me the ****s big time.

Here Here!
Australia has one of the best working democratic setups in the world, while a "pure theoretical democracy?"sounds nice it isnt viable in the real world, as it has 0 tolerance for any idiots in the system, and requires life to be perfect.
I challange you to find a more straight foward democracy.

EDIT: feel free to skip some, its fairly long and rant-esque
1) My sister. she always annoys me, i do nothing then i finally crack and stab her with a pencil, throw a chair at her etc. I had just had my appendix out, then she annoyed me tons and i almost cracked at her, (i was holding a mug so that would have been bad) and mum said later that i almost burst a blood vessel in my stomach. ow.
2)Ignorance. some people that think that just because it new it must be better. My parents have not much problem with me watching TV all day if im sick, but if i want to play computer all day ...
3)Traditions. some people stick to them for no reason at all, and it prevents other people from doing what they want to do.
4)My parents choices. something that always annoyed me is that my parents chose to have more children than they could support properly.
5)once again, religion. i was unforunate enough to be born to ridiculously religious (catholic) parents. over the course of several years, i decided that religion wasnt for me. they said.....stuff that. your doing what we say until you move out. it also generates a kind of fanatacism in some people that i find abhorrent. they will become ignorant and deliberately obtuse. If people just are nice people and dont shove their religion down other peoples throats thats fine, you can believe whatever you want. keep it seperate from the government. SEPERATION OF CHURCH AND STATE.
6)the fact that my parents put people OUTSIDE of our family before us.
7)small children. ok their cute etc, but i really hate it when they tag along with you when you are trying to play a game with one of your friends.
8)other people. i like my peace. i really hate it when im having some quiet time and my mum thinks she will come cheer me up because i look sad. im concentrating. just piss off.
9)over-explaining things. like when my mum says please can u stop that, i go ok, then she starts ranting on about how annoying it is.
10)my lack of money. my parents are stingy (only with us), and i have no job.
EDIT: oops. too many.sorry everyone. _________________
