| Quote: | Nintendo Confirms “Enhanced” Wii for Japan
The launch of Nintendo’s next system is less than three weeks away and already Nintendo has gone back to the drawing board to release another version in early 2007.
Initial rumors of this “enhanced” Wii began when UK gamin magazine Edge ran a story that mentioned the possibility of a Wii launching next year that would include DVD playback. In a conference call today with GameIndustry.biz, a Nintendo representative went on record confirming that another version of the Wii is scheduled for Japanese launch beginning in 2007. The rep did not give an exact date, but did say that there are currently no plans to release this version to US or European markets.
Honestly, I don’t care one way or the other. I already have consoles that can play DVDs just fine. I’m not hurting to add another one to my collection. |

I MIGHT be getting a Wii next year if the price drops to about $250.

I don't think you'll be getting a Wii then. Keep dreaming.

I think it's going to be quite a while before the price drops dramatically. Maybe not even untill the next Nintendo cosole comes out. _________________

Is anyone in Melbourne going to go and play the Wii this weekend?
At GAME1 in the exhibition centre, or at Highpoint shopping centre on Nov. 4 & 5?

Maribyrnong. Close to the showgrounds if you've ever been there.
Congrats on the 1000 posts too. Thought you wouldn't mention it and you'd get away with it, huh? _________________

Mario Party 8 announced. Also, the sun will rise tomorrow.
Also some tiny Metroid Prime 3 and Super Mario Galaxy pics.
Mario Party 8 should be good with the Wiimote.... hopefully. Prime and Galaxy will no doubt be awesome. _________________
