I have no idea who either of those people are. It does not really matter. Neither of them are even remotely close to Tommy Emmanuel. Highly reguarded as one of the greatest guitarists in the world, and he is an Aussie to boot. _________________

Yeah it was a joke. It's Fred Durst (of Limp Bizkit). He's atrocious. _________________

Unfortunately I don't, but my best friend does and we've watched it ridiculous amounts of time. Their performance Live is unbelievably good. _________________

QFT
No one comes close to Tommy.
on a side note, Yngwie Malmsteen (the god of Arpeggios) is playing at the Palace next month so I get to see him for free, that should be an awesome show.

Can someone explain what songs are being played (or not, I'm not a gutitar fetishist, shreading to me is putting a guitar into small strips) for those you don't want to waste Bandwidth
However I've seen a video of someone playing "Canon in D" on an electric guitar, IMO more amazing then the random stuff Hendrix came out with.

Tommy Emmanuelle has done a finger style rendition of Blue Moon, translating bass, guitar and locals of the original song to one guitar.

Michael Angelo is boring, he only has a handful of songs that are interesting.
Petrucci isn't just shred either, listen to Images and Words, awesome solos and overall an awesome album.
You can't compare someone like Tommy Emmanuel to the other guitarists in this thread, it's like comparing apples and oranges.
Anyone going to G3 here? It's in the same 7 days that I'm getting my Wii!
Oh and Pachbelle's Cannon In D on the geetar isn't that great, sure it's a good adaption, but it isn't that hard to play at all.
Oh, and speaking of Fred Durst;

^I may be going to G3, depends on if I'm free on that day really. I'd love to see Petrucci go nuts though _________________

My friends and I are going to be lining up early as. When Satch was here in March last year me and a friend camped out for about 10 hours, and it was totally worth it. We were front row, stage middle-right, about a meter away from him when he came over to our side. Awesomeness.
Yeah we're planning to go stage middle-left, because Petrucci is usually there as seen from previous performances. Oh and Vai + Sheehan = pwn, and seeing Satch again will be great. _________________

I always thought Eric Johnson was the best, I much preferred his style. I mean, I've got nothing against Satriani, he's awesome, not a huge fan of Vai though, his stuff gets pretty boring after a while.
Petrucci rocks though, I love Dream Theatre.

Yes, DT are the pwn.
Eric Johnson's cool, actually I don't think there's been a G3 guitarist I don't like. _________________

Dragonforce are talented but their music bores the **** out of me.
For more great guitar work, check out this vid. Great song, but mad solo at the 2:30 mark. It's Nevermore's "Final Product" for those who care.
