Okay, I just have to ask what type of rock you guys like and, what is your favorite band in that type, and what is your favorite solo-ist in that type of genre of rock! I will start:
My Genre: Metal
Band: Disturbed
Solo-ist: Ozzy Osbourne
P.S. There is a difference between all the options on the poll, and any true rocker would know them.

I'd go with Metal too, out of those.
Band: DragonForce (more power metal, but...) Any band whose songs feature dual-harmonic shred with double bass rolls is alright by me.
Soloist: Michael Angelo Batio (more heavy metal, but...), with his amazing quad-guitar. _________________

Skinny Puppy/Celldweller/White/Rob Zombie (though he's not as Industrial as he used to be)/Strapping Young Lad. _________________

Why put "metal" and "rock" as options if you also list specific sub genres? It really doesn't make any sense. What the hell is thrash rock by the way? I'm assuming you're referring to thrash metal.
My tastes go from rock to metal to industrial to electronica. I don't really have a clear cut favourite genre, but my favourite artist (Devin Townsend of Strapping Young Lad fame) is a metal artist.
I've been meaning to ask though... what's Celldweller like compared to Circle of Dust? _________________

Cirlce of Dust was an industrial metal band formed by Klayton/Scott Adams before he did Celldweller. A workmate introduced me to Cirlce of Dust a few years ago, and I liked it. Guess you wouldn't know how to compare it then I'll eventually track some Celldweller down and give it a listen. _________________

Why are Metal and Rock even in the same poll?
In any case thrash metal is my favourite in that genre as for rock it's a tie between progressive and punk.

My thoughts exactly.
Anyway, I'm a metalhead at heart and I like most sub-genres of Metal. That said, Rock is also awesome and I enjoy most of that too. So yeah, whatever. _________________

I'm just unimpressed that viking metal and cock rock weren't given a chance. _________________

Black Metal.
Favourite band: Toss up between Cradle of Filth (Despite them not being 'true' Black Metal), Satyricon and Borknagar.
Solo: Burzum (Actually a one man ban, but close enough) _________________ SIGNATURE REMOVED - Luke

Well, my favourite band is Millencolin but they're more skater punk than punk rock. Although they are pretty much the only punk band I listen to these days. _________________
